Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Shirley has chosen splish splash as the theme for this round.
Or play along with our anything goes birthday option.
I've had this cover die for many years and thought I'd use dolphins with it again.
I coloured the panels with distress oxide inks from dark to light blue and splashed on some water. The dolphins are die cut from silver shimmer card and are layered up, along with the sentiment for dimension.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Aud Sentiments, playing along with the ink blending option and a sentiment
Supplies:
Distress oxide inks-tumbled glass, broken china and chipped sapphire; Memory Box splashing puddles & diving dolphins dies; Creative Expressions happy birthday die; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week,
Cathy x

I love that splashy background going from dark to light blue Cathy and the added silver toned dolphins look great wit it, and finished with a lovely light toned sentiment which makes it stand out perfectly..a wonderful card. x
Very pretty ombre, perfect for our challenge. Thank you for playing at the AAA Birthday Card Challenges
Adding the dolphins to this cover plate was a great idea. It actually looks like it all should go together. The icing on this cake is the ombre color of the background.
That cover die was made for this challenge. Love your creativity with the dolphins! Wonderful job, Cathy!
Your card looks fantastic Cathy with those great splashes and cute dolphins - such a great design xx
Oh this is adorable! Love the colour 💙 (my favourite 😉). Beautiful ombré blending, too.
A super scene and great background for the splashing fish images. Thank you for sharing with us at Try it on Tuesdays.
I like your dolphins and splash scene. I bet whoever gets this card will love it. Thanks for joining us at Try It on Tuesday Cathy. hugs-Erika
Your dolphins in the silver shimmer paper really shine in your fun ocean scene. Pretty card. Have a great week, Cathy
I have this same die and always enjoy seeing what others do with it. I really like how you created the inked background and then added the die cut on top. Your dolphins look like they are having fun.
Your card is so perfect for the theme! Love the ombre! It's actually really nice weather in Melb at the moment. I hope you get some milder Spring days:)
