Butterflies & patterned paper.

Hi everyone, I'm back again with more butterflies.
This patterned paper has been in my stash for quite a few years,so instead of stamping more wood grain I thought I'd give this a go.

The butterflies are stamped and embossed, fussy cut and coloured with Inktense pencils, sicilian yellow and sea blue.

The challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday is anything goes.

Blue, yellow and white.

Hi everyone, it feels like Saturday to me, but sadly it's Sunday!
I think it's because I've had lots of rest, which was much needed lol!

I've got a few timber backgrounds stamped and decided to use one for the challenge at
Scrapbook Boutique where they have this gorgeous mood board for inspiration.

I was inspired by the woodgrain and the colours in the lower left section.

My flowers were diecut from scraps of white card and vellum, so I'm off to the snippets playground too at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Flowers with rusting powder.

Hi everyone,
I've had this corrugated panel sitting on my desk since I made my rustic butterflies card.
I was tempted to add more butterflies but decided on some flowers for a change.

The panel was cut from a cardboard box and I tore off some of the paper to reveal the corrugations.
I painted on some white gesso and when it was dry sprayed it with some antique bronze distress stain.
Next, I painted on some collage glue, sprinkled on the rusting powder, tapped off the excess then sprayed with vinegar.
After a little while the rust appears!

The theme at the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge is corrugated card.
I've also stamped a sentiment and used die cutting as my other element.

At Happy Little Stampers it's anything goes with dies.
I used Memory Box Woodland Branch and Cherry Blossom dies.

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday the theme is fantastic florals.

Vellum flowers on Wood.

Hi everyone, it's been a hectic few weeks so haven't had a chance to do much crafting.
I had these elements sitting in my scrap box so thought I'd put a quick card together, so I could play along in a few challenges.

At Simon Says Stamp Monday you need to use your favourite tool. Mine is my heat gun.
I've used clear embossing powder on the woodgrain stamp, and gold on the flowers. I still love watching the powder melt after all these years lol!

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday it's fantastic florals.
I've stamped, embossed and fussy cut a vellum layer over a white layer. It gives a softer look than just using white card.

At Addicted to CAS the theme is wood.
I had a few cut strips from this woodgrain stamp that I pieced together. Cutting the strips meant I could ink the edges more.

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's a clean and simple week.

Finally, at The Card Concept there is this gorgeous pic for inspiration.

I was inspired by the brown white and gold colours and the texture of the wood.
I think my card fits the clean and simple category, or maybe clean and layered.

Supplies:
Darkroom Door woodgrain stamp: Stampin Up flower shop stamp; versafine ink & clera ep; versacolor gold ink & gold ep; distress ink; vellum; sentiment sticker.

Rustic heart.

Hi everyone, been back at work for just over a week now, so am catching up on a few challenges this weekend!

At Inspired by all the Little Things there is this gorgeous inspiration pic.

I was inspired by the woodgrain and the distressed red heart. It's a bit hard to see in the photo but I've used a paper distresser tool on the edge of the heart.
My son advised me to go shopping so that I could find a "you" stamp with a font that matched this diecut. That has got to be a first lol! He won't pay if I find one though!

The theme at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday is the colour of love. It's red for me!
