Feeling Flat!

Hi everyone, a friend said she had been feeling a bit flat lately so I thought this would be the perfect card for her lol!

I've stamped the elephant and sentiment in versafine Clair nocturne ink and clear embossed
them. I used prismacolour pencils for colouring and shading and blended them with zest it and a paper stump.

They are both from Katzelktaft Les jungles and Relax. There are no dates on the stamps but I've had both sets for a couple of years.

I'm linking up to these challenges:
Retro Rubber, where it's anything goes as long as you use a stamp that's at least one year old.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday where it's animal antics.

Word Art Wednesday, anything goes with an encouraging or uplifting sentiment.

Supplies:
Katzelkraft Les Jungles and Relax stamps, versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; prismacolour pencils; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.

Seize the Birthday 200th Celebration!

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and we are celebrating our 200th challenge!

Congratulations to Nancy and the team for reaching such a great milestone, and providing so much inspiration.

To celebrate Nancy and some of the team are generously giving away some prizes for those that participate in a blog hop, and enter a card inspired by our logo.

All of the details are on the challenge blog. Our party guest and the team have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

The colours in the logo were my inspiration for this card.
I diecut the flower from some glossy photo paper that I had smooshed into distress oxide inks, dried, and then wiped with a baby wipe. The baby wipe removes the chalky ink residue and reveals bright colours underneath.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Always Fun Challenges, where it's anything goes,

Supplies:
Paper Rose blooming flowers background die; oxide inks in picked raspberry, mermaid lagoon, wilted violet and twisted citron; glossy photo paper; sentiment sticker.

Alcohol inked bouquet.

Hi everyone, I've had this card made for a few days and have already missed some challenges I hoped to enter, time seems to just fly by these days!

I used a new to me die called bouquet on some yupo paper coloured with alcohol inks, regular and pearl.

Here's a closer look at the shimmer.

The sentiment is a stamp from a set called doodled flowers by Happy Little Stampers, sadly retired now. There's no date on the set but I've had it for quite a few years.

I'm linking up to the yellow and green colour challenge at the Retro Rubber

At Simon Says Stamp Monday the theme is frame it.
The Card Concept,
My card is in the clean and simple category. I was inspired bythe gorgeous sunflowers in the vase and on the cushions, pops of yellow and green.

Cuttlebug Mania, where it's anything goes so long as you use a manual diecutting machine, in my case a Cuttlebug!

Supplies:
Sizzix bouquet die; Ranger alcohol inks and pearl alcohol inks in greens and yellows; yupo paper;
Happy Little Stampers doodled flowers stamp; Versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die; circle die.

Cheeky Chickens!

Hi everyone, I hope you're not offended by these snarky chickens!
I must admit it's the reason I bought the stamp set as it cracked me up!

I stamped the chickens on the card base, then stamped them onto some scraps of paper I'd coloured with brushos. I fussy cut these and paper pieced them over the images on the base.
I added a little yellow ground with prismacolour pencils.

I'm linking up to the humorous/ fun challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday,

AAA Cards, without the twist of woodland animals.

Supplies:
Picket Fence one hot chick stamps; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; brushos; tombow markers; prismacolour pencils; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.

Dylusions sprays butterfly & border.

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and it was my turn to choose the theme!
My favourite technique is diecutting,
so I chose diecutting only, with the option of a stamped sentiment.

If diecutting isn't your thing, then I hope you can play along with our anything goes birthday option, and our party guest and design team have some fabulous cards to inspire you

.

I have a few colours of dylusion sprays but haven't used them a lot.
I spritzed a few onto some card and diecut this Memory Box border and Poppystamps butterfly.
I also diecut a vellum base for the butterfly.

Added some bling, and a sentiment sticker finished it off, quick and easy!

I'm linking up to some challenges:
Double D Challenge where the challenge is lots of colour with this fabulous mood board for inspiration.

CASology, September here in Australia is the start of Spring when I look forward to flowers and butterflies in the garden!

Supplies:
Dylusions sprays; Memory Box fairytale flower border; Poppystamps Theo and whidbey butterfly dies; vellum; sentiment sticker.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at CAS Christmas and Colleen has chosen Christmas trees as the theme.

Christmas is creeping slowly closer, so why not play along and get your cards started now? The design team and our guest designer Steph  have some wonderful inspiration for you.

I've had this tree stamp for ages, bought it at a craft show in Brisbane with my sister. (Boy that feels like a lifetime ago lol!)

I stamped it using Versafine Clair Shady Lane green and embossed it with a new to me embossing powder, Lindys angel wings peacock. I love the metallic shimmer it has.

The sentiment is a retired Stampin Up one, stamped in Versafine nocturne and embossed with rose gold powder. I added some rouge perfect pearls on the berries.

I managed to take both of these stamps off their wooden blocks and used my misti for stamping. It streamlined the process having everthing lined up. Might make this my design for this Christmas!

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Merry Little Christmas Challenge, anything goes.

SPREAD THE MERRY LITTLE LOVE AND GRAB A BADGE!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, stamp it in September.

Almost one layer!

Hi everyone, this is a new to me stamp from Paper Artsy.
I love it but didn't realize how large the flower was when  I bought it.
(The perils of online shopping!)

I rarely stamp without embossing the image, but felt if I embossed it, I would need to bleach it and colour it in!
So it's just a masked strip, inked with oxides and a blending brush, then stamped.

I'm linking up to some challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday, oodles of doodles.
I'm not one for drawing, so luckily this image looks as if it has lots of doodles on it!
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, where the team are celebrating stamping in September.
CASology, where the key word is September.
It's the start of Spring here in Australia, so for me that's looking forward to lots of colour in the garden!

This Paper Artsy image and sentiment have been sitting in my pile of new stuff for a few months.
