Watercoloured hearts.

Hi everyone, it's been so long since I've posted!
Lots of ongoing health issues in my family, so crafting had to be put on hold for a while. I'm on holidays now so can squeeze in some card making!

I hope everyone had a happy Christmas and that 2017 is a great year for everyone!

This was a quick and easy card to make, The hearts are diecut from a piece of watercolour paper, painted with Kuretake Gansai paints. The sentiment is from Annabelle Stamps, all framed with an embossing folder.

I'm joining the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday anything goes challenge.

The white inlay for the hearts is cut from a scrap of white card.  Using snippets means I can also pop over the the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. (There's not much time left so be quick if you want to play along!)

Supplies:
Memory Box Sofia Heart die; Annabelle Stamps Weddings Medallion sentiment (now closed down); versafine ink & clear ep; Kuretake Gansai watercolours; Stately embossing folder.

Thanks for visiting, and enjoy the rest of the season's festivities,

All occasion florals.

This floral die was cut from a panel I made a while ago with some Kuretake gansai watercolours.
I've just about used them all up so it'll be worthwhile getting all of the gear out to make some more!

I haven't added a sentiment as sometimes it's nice just to have a card for all occasions.

The challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday is anything goes.

At Addicted to stamps & More it's make your mark.

Supplies:

Memory Box Catalina border die; Stampin Up embossing folder; coloured vellum for the panel layer; kuretake gansai watercolor paints; bling.

Christmas snowflake ornament.

Hi everyone, I've had a busy few weeks and have had no time left for card making!
Hopefully I can wrangle a few hours now and again out of the next few weeks.

This snowflake is cut from some thin chipboard (from the back of a notepad).
I covered it in versamark ink then sprinkled on some aged silver frontage embossing enamel.

I diecut another snowflake from a scrap of black card to give the back a neat look,
as the ornament can be removed from the card and hung on a tree.

I'm visiting the snippets playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop, you only need 1 snippet to join in the fun with Di and the playmates!

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, it's Christmas to die for.
I've used Memory Box Lindeman snowflake die.

I love purple

Hi everyone, been making a few more cards with these botanical dies!
Love the purples in this one. I need to look at a few more books on floral arrangements too to get some more ideas for layouts!

The challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday is anything goes this week.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's a make your mark theme.
I sponged colour onto the white diecut flowers & greenery with distress and dye inks.

Rather than autumn, I've used leafy greenery, since it's Spring over here.

There is no stamping on this card, just diecuts embossing and a sticker.

Supplies:

Raindrops and butterflies

Hi everyone, had such a busy week that the craft room goodies have been neglected!
I've also been potting up some herbs and flowers as Spring is definitely here, so the verandah will be colourful soon!

I made some more of these background panels and decided to add some butterflies to finish one off.
The water droplets were stamped in versafine ink then clear embossed. I blended a couple of distress inks over the top and the embossed design resisted the ink.

To highlight the droplets I went in to each one with a water brush and dampened it, then used some paper towel to blot and remove some of the colour. It's a great tip that I saw on Eileen's blog.

The butterflies were fussy cut and coloured with inktense pencils.

I'm linking up to the challenge at Simon Says Wednesday where the theme is totally resistable.

At Just Add Ink the theme is to add G. I've gone with Green!

Butterfly on infusion tiles.

Hi everyone,
I've been playing with more infusions and of course more butterflies!

I pretty much did the same thing as I did with my leaves and autumn butterfly cards.
Spread texture paste through the stencil and while it was still wet sprinkled infusions powder onto it. Some of the colour spread but I wanted to colour the background as well so I spritzed it with water.

This technique is so much fun! The infusions are a bit like brushos but the walnut powder in them gives a totally different look.

The challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday is anything goes.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

At Simon Says Stamp Monday it's powder powder - use embossing or pigment powder. I've used infusions powder.

Butterfly Journey

Hi again, I'm getting lots of cards made so far these holidays, although my internet usage is nearly gone again!
When I coloured these butterflies they had quite a grungy feel to them so I thought they needed a grungy sort of background. I blended a few distress inks together to create this one.

I found my old typewriter in our shed and typed "ënjoy the"on some tissue paper so I could glue it onto the tag to add to the sentiment. This was my first go and I needed to touch up some of the tissue paper that still showed white. I'll keep experimenting lol!

I'm linking up to the mixed media challenge at Happy Little Stampers where the theme is distress.

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's make your mark.
I've coloured the butterflies with prismacolor pencils.

At Word Art Wednesday it's anything goes.

Alcohol ink butterfly

Hi again, I diecut this butterfly from some leftover glossy card pounced with alcohol inks.
I love the polished stone effect.
I recently bought some yupo paper so am going to have some more fun with these inks these school holidays.

I'm linking up to the challenge at Time Out where they have this amazing inspiration pic.

I was inspired by the gorgeous Autumn colours and the arched shape for my tag.

At CASology the cue card is frame.

Supplies:

Memory Box Darla butterfly die; MFT pierced & traditional tag stax dies; alcohol inks & glossy card; Darice Fall leaf embossing folder; gold rub on paint; antique linen distress ink; sentiment sticker.

Autumn butterfly, or is it a moth!

Hi again, I'm back with another infusions experiment!

This time I spread white texture paste through this butterfly stencil, then sprinkled some infusions powder on.  When it was dry I spritzed it with water, the infusions still reacted and created this autumn coloured background! Hubby thinks it looks more like a moth than a butterfly! Either way I still like it.

The challenge at Happy Little Stampers CAS is watercolour spritz.
(I hope the embossed background is still CAS enough.)

The theme at Uniko Studio is autumn with the option of thanks.

I layered the butterfly panel onto a scrap of chipboard, from the back of a notepad, and added gold rub on paint to the edges.

Using scraps or snippets means I can visit the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

The challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More is to make your mark, I used brushos.
