Feather trees on an Infusions background.

Hi everyone, I made this background by spritzing some water onto watercolour paper then sprinkling on some infusions powder. I also sprayed a touch of perfect pearls to get some shimmer, then scrunched some cling wrap over the wet paper and left it to dry. The infusions didn't form much of a pattern but the silver spray did. Just enough to add a bit of interest.

Watercoloured hearts.

I'm back again with some more of todays projects this time using watercolours!

I stamped this hero arts floral stamp onto watercolour paper and white embossed it. The embossing creates a resist for the paints. I used Kuretake Gansai paints. When it was dry I diecut some hearts, embossed a frame and stamped a sentiment.

I'm linking up to the watercolour challenge at Paper Artsy,

PaperArtsy

and to the watercolour hearts challenge at CAS Watercolour Card Challenge.

Hero Arts everything flower stamp; versamark ink and white ep; Kuretake Gansai watercolour paints; Mpress heart dies; Simon Says Stamp happy sentiment stamp; versafine ink & clear ep.; Stately embossing folder.

Embossed butterfly and oxide inks.

Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I'm alternating between housework and card making so I'm happy!

I was inspired by the photo at Inkspirational for this card.

I'm not a big coffee drinker and don't have any coffee stamps, but thought I'd go with circles, the butterfly and the gorgeous browns.

I embossed the butterfly diecut with some new powders I bought, Lindy's Stamp Gang cafe au lait (sounds like coffee lol!) and midnight bronze. I used versamark to get the powder to stick.

The circle was inked with distress oxides in antique linen and walnut stain, and walnut stain is on the circle border too. I sprritzed the circle with water and got a frothy coffee look! I dried it and embossed with a dot matrix folder for a bit of texture.

The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers mix mash set and it's embossed with the cafe lait powder.

I'm linking up to a few challenges.

At Less is More the team is celebrating their 7th birthday with a dry embossing theme.

At AAA Cards it's diecuts only, although stamped sentiments are allowed.
I hope the dry embossing is ok on the diecut.

At Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge the theme is butterfly.
My mixed media elements include wet and dry embossing, stamping, diecuts, oxide inks and vellum.

At Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, the theme is grunge it up.
I've distressed and spritzed the circle element and have given the butterfly a patchy grungy look with the combined embossing powders.

Canvas heart and diecut cogs heart.

Hi everyone, boy am I scraping in late to a few challenges! It's ok the midnight candles are burning lol!

I'm linking up these 2 cards to the Twofer Challenge, where the theme is hearts.
You need to use the same diecut or stamp in 2 different designs and for 2 different occasions.

I was asked to make a heart card with cogs in it and had to check the pic when I made it last time to see how to fit them all in! Here's a look at just that card.

I diecut a heart into  the centre of a piece of card then embossed it with a woodgrain texture plate.
I covered the diecut heart in diecut cogs. they are cut from a Johnnie Walker scotch carton, which is red, so no need to colour the cogs!
The sentiment is from a retired set by Annabelle Stamps.

I'm also linking this card up to the paint it red challenge at Stamplorations,

and the heart challenge at Outside the Box. I've used Memory Box antique gear set and mini gears dies.

It's anything goes at Happy Little Stampers dies challenge,

and at Less is More they are celebrating their 7th birthday with a dry embossing theme. The woodgrain texture is very subtle so I'm hoping it's CAS enough.

Here's a closer look at the canvas heart card.

I used a scribbles stencil with some distress oxide inks on a sheet from a canvas pad. Love the rough texture it has. I diecut it using the same heart die as the cogs card.

I'm linking this card up to the CAS mixup card challenge where the theme was to use canvas, cork or felt.
My elements are canvas, stamping, stencilling and diecutting.

Supplies:
Cogs card: Mpress heart dies; Memory Box antique gear set and mini gears dies; Papertrey Ink woodgrain texture plate; Annabelle Stamps wedding medallion sentiment stamp; versafine ink & clear ep.
Canvas card: Mpress heart dies; Monte Marte canvas pad; distress oxide inks: TH scribbles layering stencil; Spellbinders card creator A2 curved borders one die; Annabelle Stamps wedding medallion sentiment stamp.

Thanks for visiting, and for staying through such a long post!

Valentine with a diecut stencil

Hi everyone, it's been a busy few weeks but I'm glad to finally have some time in the craft room again!

This solid heart was die cut from an acrylic paint cling wrapped background. I then diecut a dazzling heart from heavy card and used it as a stencil with transparent texture paste. The trickiest part was lifting the stencil! Had to use tweezers and be careful not to touch any of the wet paste.

I'm linking up to a few challenges:

The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge has this gorgeous inspiration pic.

At Outside the Box the theme is hearts and remeber to use at least 1 Memory Box product.
