Happy Mother's Day floral.

Hi everyone, Happy Mother's Day for tomorrow (in Australia) to those that celebrate it :)
I'm looking forward to a lazy day, not sure that my 2 boys will make it home but hubby and I will enjoy a lamb roast anyway lol!

I used some new to me goodies on this card, the flowers, sentiment and embossing folder!

I inked up some card with Altenew fresh dye inks and diecut the sentiment from it. Spattered on some water for texture.
The same colours were used to colour the flowers and distress inks used on the leaves. I think the flowers on the 3D embossing folder are a good match for the flowers.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Aud Sentiments, I've chosen the Spring option

Can You Handle the Pressure, anything goes embossing with a twist of florals

Flowers for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Vicki wants us to create with flowers.

Or play along with our anything goes birthday option, it's a great way to build up your stash!

Our party guest and my team mates have lots of inspiration for you, so I hope you can play along.

I have had this flower stamp for ages, although haven't used it much, and just recently bought the matching die as I thought it would make it easier to use.
It's more forgiving to stamp on something other than the base card, especially if you can cut out any oopsies!!

I stamped and embossed in gold ep on watercolour paper and coloured with my zig pens, before diecutting part of the flowers.
The base card is hammered so it sort of has texture like watercolour paper.

The sentiment is diecut from black mirror card and layered up for dimension.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

AAA Birthday, congrats on your 6th birthday!

Cardz 4 Galz, flowers
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, beautiful blooms
The Neglected Stuff Challenge, my sketched flowers stamp has been neglected since 2021!

Supplies:
Simon Says Stamp sketched flowers stamp & die; zig brush pens; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die; Creative Expressions happy birthday die; Versafine clair ink & Wow gold ep.

Sending well wishes

Hi everyone, I made this card for a colleague who is unwell at the moment, a science teacher!
I hope this cheers him up a bit.

I've had this stamp & die set from MFT for years and this is it's first outing!
The same with the Spellbinders sentiment.

I used lots of leftover bits and scraps from other projects to diecut the colourful "elements".
The background was inked with tumbled glass oxide, spritzed with water then spattered with white gloss spray and diluted black gouache,

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Little Red Wagon, use that stash.
I've used neglected goodies and loads of scraps.

Mix it Up Challenge, I'm playing along with the anything goes option
Waffle Flower A7 piercing layers die; MFT undeniable chemistry stamps & dies; Spellbinders Reaction stamp & die - only used one of the stamps; oxide ink; white gloss spray; black gouache; versafine ink & clear ep; Wow primary red robin ep; vellum and scraps from stash.

Daisies cover die & oxide inks.

Hi everyone, I'm back with another layered card.
This cover plate is a new to me die and it's a bit of a doozy for getting all of the pieces out of.
Loved it once that was done!

I ink blended a panel with kitsch flamingo, squeezed lemonade, salvaged patina and shaded violet oxides. It's a lovely pastel rainbow!

The sentiment was diecut from glossy black card and layered up for dimension, sorry about the glare in the photo.

I added a few bling dots to finish it off.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday, blooming blooms

Inkspirational, I've selected Spring - Mother's Day in Australia

Double D Challenge, springtime flowers

Addicted to Stamps & More, I made my mark with oxide inks

Supplies:
Altenew honeycomb daisies cover die; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die; Poppycrafts sentiment die; oxide inks; black glossy card.

Geometrics & designer paper.

Hi everyone, my last day of holidays so I'm getting in some extra crafty time!

I've been going through my paper pads and trying to think of ways to use them. I diecut this sheet and layered it onto a white diecut for dimension. I popped a smaller piece of white card behind that, then mounted the piece onto a black base card.

The happy is diecut from the same paper, layered onto black then inked and clear embossed for shine. The birthday is diecut from black gloss card.

I did inlay some of the angular pieces back into the design, not sure that that was such a good idea lol!
It looks better in real life.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Tic Tac Toe, I went with the middle row across: birthday, patterned paper and layers.

Allsorts, playing along with the anything goes option

Supplies:
Paper Rose Studio charlotte decorative background die; Simon Says Stamp happy birthday die;
Lawn Fawn watercolour wishes rainbow 6x6 pad; versamark ink & clear ep;
 glossy black card.

Thanks for visiting, have a great week,

Layer it for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and our wonderful leader Nancy wants us to use layers!

Or add to your birthday stash with our anything goes option

Our party guest Leslie and my team mates have loads of inspiration for you over at the blog so I hope you can play along.

I used a new to me layering die for this challenge. Altenew's gentle giraffes.
One of my favourite animals!

I used a tan/kraft card for the top 2 layers and inked them up with distress inks in antique linen and tea dye with a touch of brushed corduroy to give some shading. The base layer is a chocolate brown.

I inked up the background with oxides and a frame stencil, added some greenery
 and a sticker sentiment.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

I've used both dies and a stencil frame

Supplies:
Altenew gentle giraffes layering die; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die;
Pinkfresh Studio leafy branch die; Darkroom Door rectangle stencil; distress ink; oxide inks; Crackerbox stamp grass stamp; versafine clair shady lane ink & clear ep; sentiment sticker.
