Things in a Garden for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday, and our wonderful leader Nancy has chosen things in a garden for us to add to our cards.

So many choices here!

Or you can play along with the anything goes birthday option.

My team mates and our party guest Hilary have some wonderful inspiration for you so I hope you can play along. We will also have a special guest for the fortnight Anagha so hop over to the blog and take a look.

We have a bush garden, full of gum trees, although we've cleared some due to the bush fire risk!
We also have chooks, raspberries and some veggies growing, but I thought I'd stick with the gum leaves and blossom.

I was inspired by this card by Yana Smakula.
I don't have any similar leaf stamps and used my Prismacolour pencils, (no polychromos), but I'm happy with the result! The gold embossing is really shiny in real life.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Retro Rubber, anything goes using a stamp older than a year.
I used a Kaszazz gum leaf stamp, there's no date on the package but the last time I used the stamp was

Cardz 4 Guyz, any colouring medium - I used Prismacolor pencils.

Krafty Chicks, all occasions

Supplies:
Kaszzaz gum leaf stamp; versamark ink & Wow metallic gold rich superfine ep; Prismacolour pencils; Stately embossing folder; sentiment sticker.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

This is a wonderful example of heat embossing! I love how it pops off of the black and the green really highlights all the detail in the leaves. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber this time. Claire Retro Rubber DT

I'm not sure I've ever seen a gum leave. This is stunning. You did a fabulous job coloring them, polychromos or not.

What a nice card. I have not used Prisma Colors. Did you color directly on to the black cardstock? Thank you for sharing your creativity with us at C4G this round. Cheers, Jolanda - DT
