Favourite Technique for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Ashwini wants us to use a favourite technique for our birthday cards this time around.

You can always play along with our anything goes birthday theme too.

Our party guest Lorraine and my team mates have some wonderful inspiration for you over at the blog, so I hope you can play along.

One of my favourite techniques is die cutting. (If that is a technique!)
If it's not then there is stencilling and wet embossing, which I've also used on this card.

I must thank Chrissie from Simply One of a Kind for enabling me to buy this horse die, she finds the best dies!! As well as making fabulous cards with them.

Supplies:
Dies: Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle; Charlie & Paulchen horse dies; Stampin Up winter woods die;
Other: Tim Holtz star stencil; gold ink; Happy Little Stampers doodled flowers sentiment.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

Those horses are awesome Cathy! They look beautiful against the kraft background. And great shine from your stenciled stars and gold trees. xx

These horses are fabulous Cathy and the soft gold and bright shiny gold trees work well together with the gold stencilled stars in the background and love the look of the kraft card backed with more of the gold and the black card and a coordinated black sentiment to finish...a beautiful card. x

Your background and trees are so pretty and I see why you wanted the horse die. That is a sweet look.

Those die-cut horses are so stunning in white on the kraft background. This is a superb card that shows off your favorite techniques. Very classy and splendid card.

I absolutely believe that die-cutting is a technique of its own. I thought about doing that as well. I have not seen those horses before but they are awesome. Love the star background and those trees! Nice card, Cathy!

All around a magnificent card using not one, not two, but three fun techniques! The horse dies are awesome as is all of your card and it's design!

What a handsome card! I love love those horse die cuts and the wood die cuts behind them as well. The patterns on the horses really stand out, since you've kept the rest of the color and design so simple. I love how that looks!
