Christmas Hens.

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at CAS Christmas Challenge and Susan has chosen the theme of the twelve days of Christmas.

I've gone with a loose interpretation of 3 french hens.

I had some leftover pieces of brushos scraps that had been spritzed with gold glimmer mist, just enough to stamp the chicken bodies onto. I stamped, clear embossed and fussy cut these, then paper pieced them over the chickens I had stamped onto my card panel.

I used a water brush to remove the colour from the crops and decorative rings, then used tombow markers to add colour to these sections.

The hens are looking at something. It will remain a mystery, as I couldn't come up with anything Christmassy to add to that area! Let's just say it's Santa making a lot of noise!

I'm linking up to these challenges:
Merry Little Christmas, anything goes.

SPREAD THE MERRY LITTLE LOVE AND GRAB A BADGE!

Watercooler Wednesday, anything goes.

Supplies:
White Picket Fence One Hot Chick stamp: Simon Says Stamp Advent Sentiments stamp; versafine clair nocturne and blue belle ink; clear ep; tombow markers; prismacolour pencils; scraps of brusho paper; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

Oh I love your 3 French hens Cathy! SO fun with their different markings - the Brusho's made lovely body color for them! I think the next in line 4 calling birds have grabbed their attention!xx

It does look like your hens are excited about somebody coming ... Santa makes sense! :) Great colouring of this fun hens Cathy! Love the watercoloured yellow to add brightness and grounding for the hens. xx

Those are three very pretty hens using the Brusho scraps Cathy, and maybe they would cluck in French, mind you I'm not sure how that would sound..lol. They are fun and love the rings round the neck of one and you changed the colours for these to a lovely blue and yellow, and their crops to a perfect bright red which is great. A fun card brilliantly following the theme. x

Wonderful three French hens, Cathy. So fun having them all looking in one direction. Could be Santa or maybe those four calling birds... birds can be so competitive. 😂

Those Brusho scraps were a great find for makin' chickens, Cathy! Make that three French hens! I love them and the way you ground them! And I love the way their beaks and combs make it look like they are wearing baseball caps! Maybe they're watching the ballgame, lol! I hope you're keeping well! Hugs, Darnell

You found perfect leftover Brusho pieces and used them so well for this challenge, Cathy! I thought you stamped the hens and then colored them. I could hear them whispering - What's that noise? Do you know that guy wearing the red & white outfit? Let's check him out. :-)
A wonderful CAS Christmas card!
