Hi everyone,
I was delighted to be asked to guest design with the The Male Room Challenge team, when my baby boy card won a challenge recently.
I was delighted to be asked to guest design with the The Male Room Challenge team, when my baby boy card won a challenge recently.
I have hubby and 2 sons to make cards for, so masculine cards are always in demand here!
Thankyou to the team for inviting me, I had lots of fun with this CAS card.
The laces are from some cotton twine that I pulled a couple of strands from then threaded through with a needle. I didn't have any wool or thicker thread!
I inked up a piece of square card with stormy sky ink and layered it behind the border panel for some extra colour. The border is a hemstitch square die from Spellbinders, had it for ages and this is it's first outing!
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Make My Monday, Clean & Simple
Dies: sneaker die unknown brand; Spellbinders hemstitch squares.
Other: Designer paper from stash; Paper Smooches sentiment sampler stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; stormy sky oxide ink for layer under border die; white cotton string.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week,
Cathy x

What a great idea to use a camo DP for these high tops - I love 'em! Hugs, Kate!
Congratulations on being a guest designer over at The Male Room Challenge Cathy, and I just love those paper pieced die cut sneakers and the twine looks great for the laces, and a great idea to add the Stormy Sky inked card behind the hemstitch die cut square, and then beautifully finished with the coordinating stars and birthday sentiment...a wonderful masculine card. x
This could not be more perfect for a guy. Love the laces and detail on the shoes. I'm pretty sure my sons have a pair like these in their closets!
Congrats on your GD spot and this card looks awesome - Love it xx
