Butterflies on vellum.

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Ashwini has chosen vellum or transparencies as the theme.

Of course, you can always play along with the anything goes birthday option too!

Our party guest Julie and my team mates have some wonderful ideas to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

I diecut a vellum tag for the sentiment as this doesn't interfere with the embossed background.

The butterflies are stamped with versafine clair nocturne ink, clear embossed, fussy cut and coloured with Inktense pencils and a waterbrush.
I've used double sided tape on the vellum under the butterflies to secure the tag to the card.

I'm linking up to some challenges:

Always Fun Challenge, use your favourite product.
Apart from butterfly stamps, I love my Inktense pencils!

Let's Squash It, use a named embossing folder and add an animal.

Mix it up Challenge Blog, anything goes, without the optional bleaching this time.

Supplies:
Hero Arts antique engravings butterfly stamp; Annabelle Stamps sentiment (retired); versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; vellum; MFT tag die; Couture Creations entangle embossing folder; Inktense pencils (amber; sienna gold and dark aquamarine).

What bonfire?!

Hi again, I'm back with the grumpy bear and the birthday set of stamps!
Think I got carried away with the stencilled clouds but I'm having fun lol!

The sky is stencilled with distress ink and the grass with oxide ink using MFT stencils.
The bear is coloured with Prismacolour pencils and I coloured the hat with Zigs. (Love the fine tips)
I masked a sentiment from the Just Sayin retired Stampin Up set so I got a clean speech bubble and popped a sentiment sticker in there.

I'm linking up to some challenges:

Taylored Expressions Grumpy bear and birthday stamps; distress ink & oxide ink; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; Prismacolour pencils; Zig watercolour brush markers; MFT clouds and grass stencils; Stampin Up Just Sayin stamp & speech bubbles die; sentiment sticker; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.

Snowy Birthday.

Hi everyone, Happy New Year and welcome back to Seize the Birthday!

Barb has chosen a snowy background as our theme this time,

or, you can play along with the anything goes birthday option.

My team mates and our party guest Julie, have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

I haven't seen much snow since we emigrated to Australia from Scotland when I was 6!

I just remember it was cold, very cold!
So I may have created a blizzard as a background lol!

I used brushos spritzed with water to create the background then stamped the Katzelkraft guy onto it. I stamped another image, coloured him with Prismacolor pencils, and fussy cut part of him to paper piece over the other stamped one.

I stamped the Hero Arts warm thoughts sentiment then
lightened the ground with a white prismacolour pencil and added a streak of snowtex to ground the character.

I tapped a white posca paint pen over the card for snow drops.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Addicted to Stamps & More,, brushos, prismacolur pencils and posca paint pen.

Simon Says Stamp Monday, use a new or unused product.
This Katzelkraft sherlock set is unused, and my posca pen was new!
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, something new.

Brushos prussian blue; Katzelkraft Pabos Sherlock stamp; Hero Arts Find Joy stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink; clear ep; DecoArt Snow tex; Prismacolour pencils; white posca paint pen; birthday sentiment sticker.

Just a note...

Hi everyone, I'm trying to use some of my stash that has been neglected since I bought it!
In 2021 I'm hoping to use what I have and only buy the odd crafty supply, wish me luck lol!

Since the sax player is being inked for the first time, I'm linking up to the challenge at
The Paper Players where LeAnne's theme is to use something new.

At Cardz 4 Guyz the theme is black and silver or black and gold.

At Inkspirational the theme is something in your home.
One of my son's friends has left some gear here until he can get back to collect it, and there's a saxophone!

I'm also linking to the Stamplorations Stencil Challenge, the stars are stencilled using gold ink and a design from Funky Fossil.

Supplies:
Visible Image Jazz it up stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink; Funky Fossil star stencil; Encore metallic gold ink; Paper Smooches sentiment sampler stamp; versafine clair ink & clear ep; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.

Christmas Silhouettes.

Hi everyone, hoping that you had a very Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year celebration.

We had a quiet time at home, as I guess lots of people did. Looking forward to being able to catch up with more friends and family later in the New Year.

It's time for our first challenge of 2021 at CAS Christmas and Julia has chosen silhouettes as the theme.
Pat is our guest and she, along with my teamies, have some wonderful cards to inspire you!

This card was inspired by Tracey from Lavinia Stamps who had a tutorial on creating backgrounds using oxide inks and torn paper. I still need lots of practice lol but this was fun to do! (The deer is supposed to be on hills but I'm thinking it might look like clouds!)

The trees and reindeer are from Lavinia Stamps and the sentiment is a retired Stampin Up one, I love the wispy font!

It's embossed in silver, here's a closer look.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Merry Little Christmas Challenge, anything Christmas goes.

My deer stamp is a newbie so I'm joining Darnell's NBUS challenge.

Watercooler Wednesday, anything goes.

Allsorts, anything goes.

Supplies:
Lavinia Stamps small reindeer and fairy fir tree small : Stampin Up retired sentiment stamp, not sure of the name; distress oxide inks stormy sky and broken china; Versafine Clair inks nocturne and twilight; Wow metallic silver ep; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.

Happy Trails!

Hi everyone, I'm not usually a fan of snails but for some reason I really like this Impression Obsession one, Happy Trails Snail Mail.

The background was made by sprinkling brushos onto some card stock and spritzing with water.
I dried it with a heat gun, stamped the snail with versafine clair ink then bleached out some of the background colour with a water brush.

The snail and trail are coloured with white and light brown Prismacolour pencils.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

The Alphabet Challenge, T is for traffic.
Admittedly the snail would be very slow traffic lol!

Dies R Us, anything goes using a brand of die DRU sells.

AAA Cards, made in minutes without the optional twist of Christmas.

Edited to add: Also linking up to Mix it Up Challenge anything goes + option of bleaching.
Thanks Trina!

Supplies:
Impression Obsession Happy trails snail mail stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink; clear ep; brushos;
Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die: Spellbinders circle die.
