WWC 325 - Heidi's Challenge : All Things Masculine

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Watercooler Wednesday and Heidi is hosting a masculine themed challenge this time.

The design team have some fabulous inspiration for you, so I hope you can play along. All of the details are on the blog.

I love the expression on the magician's face.  A green rabbit will do that to you lol!

I've coloured the image with Prismacolour pencils and the sentiment is diecut from some cardstock painted with opal paints, very shimmery in real life.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Allsorts, any real animal or creature.
I hope the green rabbit is ok?

Stitched Up

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Barb has chosen real or faux stitching as the theme.

Our party guest and my team mates have some wonderful inspiration for you, so I hope you can play along.

If stitching isn't your thing then play along with the anything goes birthday theme and build up your stash of birthday cards.

I recently acquired some retired Stampin Up goodies and this quilt builder framelit and the embossing folder were amongst them.

I would love to get into quilting some day, but this is as close as I'll get for now!

WWC 324 - Kath's Challenge : All About Occasions

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Watercooler Wednesday and Kath is hosting an occasions challenge.
The design team have some wonderful inspiration for you, so I hope you can play along. All of the details are on the blog.

I needed yet another sympathy card and have CASEd  this amazing design by Chrissie from Simply One of a Kind.
She is a CAS Queen and finds the most unusual dies!

I smooshed some cardstock into a puddle of distress inks, trying to keep the colour in the lower corner.
Popped the seagulls up on some foam tape and stamped the sentiment.

I love how peaceful and serene this design is, it was perfect for farewelling my friend.

I'm not linking up to any challenges as I've CASEd the design. Thankyou Chrissie!

Supplies:
Paper Rose Ornate Swirl Rectangle frame die; Impression Obsession seagull dies; distress inks; Happy Little Stampers doodled flowers sentiment; versafine clair ink & clear ep; linen card base.

Christmas plaid

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at CAS Christmas and Colleen has chosen plaid as the theme.
Our guest Melanie and my team mates have some great inspiration for you so I hope you can play along.
All of the details are on the blog.

I don't have any plaid stamps or designer paper but I do have a plaid stencil.
I diecut a tag thinking I'd use that then stencilled some sugar glitter paste through it.

It was sparkly but a bit bland, so I sprayed and smooshed on some Lindys starburst spray in a golden green colour.
That was a bit too much lol!

I tried it behind a few diecuts and thought this one with trees toned it down enough.
Here's a closer look at the sparkle.

The sentiment was embossed with a pearl jade powder.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday, glimmer and sparkle

ABC Christmas Challenge S is for stencil and T is for Two.
I've gone with S for stencil.

Shimmery pearl pastels

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and JoAnn has chosen pastel colours only as the theme.

My team mates and our party guest Jenny have some wonderful inspiration for you, all of the details are on the blog.
Of course, you can always play along with the anything goes birthday option too!

Just realized I've used a black base with my pastels! Wanted them to pop a bit though :)

I inked up some cardstock with oxides, splashed on some water and dried it thoroughly before stamping the background with versamark ink.

I embossed it and the sentiment with white pearl powder. Lots of pearly sheen, here's a closer look.

The butterfly was stamped on a scrap of card that had been painted with opal paints, clear embossed and fussy cut.
It changes colour depending on the light. Looks more pastel at this angle!

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday, glimmer and sparkle

Hero Arts large flower background stamp; versafine ink and Wow fine detail white pearl ep;
