Animal Focal Point at Seize the Birthday

 

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Nance wants us to use an animal for this round.

Or add to your birthday stash with our anything goes option. 

Our party guests and my team mates have quite the menagerie to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

I'm using some goodies that have languished in my stash for ages! I saw a video a couple of years ago by Jennifer McGuire and was inspired to buy distress spritz and a hummingbird die. So I thought I'd try the technique in this card. 

I sprayed the spritz ;) on black cardstock and diecut the bird pieces from it. I added some extra spritz colour where I thought it needed it. It's so shimmery IRL! Here's a closer look.

I kept the background simple with a 3D floral embossing folder and the sentiment is diecut from glossy black card.

Diecut & Designer Paper

 

Hi everyone, I'm trying to use up my stash of designer paper instead of hoarding it!

I thought this piece looked like a landscape behind these flowers.

I dotted on some crystal stickles for some sparkle. The ssentiment is stamped and embossed although the shine is hard to see in the pic.
