Magnolia wreath with Inka Gold

Hi everyone, I hope you've had a lovely weekend.
Hubby has been mowing every few days as the grass is growing like crazy!
I'm staying well out of his way in the craft room lol!

This is a new to me die and I thought I'd use up a few more red and purple inka gold scraps.
(Just about all gone now).
I had put some of the paste onto a craft mat, mixed it with water then smooshed the cardstock into it.

The wreath was diecut from a brushos background. I think it was grey and lime green.
Love the surprise mix of colours you get with brushos!

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Two of my favourite colours are shades of pink and green.

Allsorts, playing along without the stencil option

Krafty Chicks, all occasions

Perfectly CAS, flowers
Not sure if the blank space inside the wreath counts, so I may have used more than a third of the card.

Supplies:
Memory Box magnolia wreath die; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die;
Inka Gold pastes in marsala and hydrangea; brushos grey and lime green; Happy Little Stampers sentiment from doodled flowers; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep.

Embossing 2 ways for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday  and Barbara has chosen embossing as the theme.

My team mates and our party guest Vicky have lots of wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.
Remember anything goes birthday is always an option too.

I have loads of embossing folders that I really don't use often enough! I also love embossing sentiments or diecuts to glitz them up and add some shine.

I had another play with this 3D folder and inked the flattish or debossed side with oxide inks and a blending tool.  The raised embossing is supposed to stay white but I got a bit too inky lol!

I diecut the happy twice from black cardstock and inked one with versamark and embossed it with clear powder to give it some shine, then glued the 2 together for some dimension.

I'm playing along with these challenges:

Playing along with just the anything goes option.

Supplies:

Simon Says Stamp floral centrepiece 3D embossing folder; distress oxide inks salvaged patina, wild honey and worn lipstick; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die; Mama Elephant scripty happy die; versamark ink & clear ep; birthday sticker.

WWC #333 : Dawn's Challenge - All About Occasions

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Watercooler Wednesday and Dawn is hosting an occasions theme.

Have a look at the wonderful cards my team mates have created for all sorts of occasions.
Hope to see you in the gallery.

I was asked to make a special card for a 60th anniversary.
I used diamond dust on the numbers so that the diamonds got a look in!
Here's a closer look at the sparkle.

I used a rose gold metallic cardstock and layered the diecuts up for extra dimension.
The base was 5 x 7 inches, so a bit bigger than my usual makes.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Allsorts, add a heart

Aud Sentiments Challenge, anything goes + a sentiment

Unicorn Challenge, layer it up

Supplies:
Dies: Memory Box La Rue Heart; Kaisercraft numbers; Scrap Dragon anniversary die
Other: Rose gold metallic card; diamond dust and glue; Couture Creations Entangle embossing folder.

Beware... Snarky sentiment and stencils!

Hi everyone, I'm delving into some snarky stamps that I bought recently.
No offense intended of course!

My sister asked me for a card using this one and I struggled to think of a design. Stencils to the rescue! I thought the emojis toned it down a bit too lol.

I've used a Taylored Expression stencil with oxide inks for the background and stamped the text and emojis with versafine clair inks in colours that toned in.

I'm linking up for the first time to The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers where the theme is I for Ink.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, fun with stencils, hope I haven't been too liberal!
Supplies:
Taylored Expressions slimline dashes stencil; distress oxide inks; The Ink Road Stamps sentiment; Brutus Monroe so emotional stamps; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle dies; versafine clair inks and clear ep.

Red & Purple inka gold

Hi everyone, I've been playing with a couple of new Inka gold colours and a new die.
The new pastes are moist and creamy compared to my old ones!
The colours are marsala and hydrangea.

I put some paste on a craft mat and mixed in some water, then smooshed some card stock into it.
Here's a closer look at the shimmer.

I didn't spend time trying to match up the negative and positive hearts so the inlaid ones are a bit mismatched!

I'm linking up to a few challenges:

Color Hues red and purple theme

Allsorts, anything goes with the option of something new

Supplies:
Inka Gold in marsala and hydrangea; heart die brand unknown as gifted by a friend; Stampin Up Express Yourself sentiment ; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.

Blue & Grey for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, I hope you had a wonderful festive season and New Year celebration, we had a quiet time at home which was good. Toasted some marshmallows on our new fire pit for New Years, when it wasn't raining lol!
I'm almost recovered from my surgery too, all is good so far, and I'm looking forward to a busy 2022!

It's time to start the year with our Seize the Birthday challenges, and Colleen has chosen blue and grey as our theme.

Our party guest for this month is Vicky Hayes and she and my team mates have some wonderful cards to inspire you.
Remember, you can always play along with our anything goes birthday option too if blue and grey aren't your thing!

Hope to see you in the gallery.

I found a scrap in my offcut box that was blue and grey. It looks like I'd smooshed watercolour paper into some blue and grey brushos. I diecut the sketchy rings and tried to colour in some fussycut  butterflies to match with Inktense pencils and a waterbrush.
I feel a bit rusty on the old butterfly front lol!

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge, I've gone without the colour option

Memory Box Sketchy Rings die; Watercolour paper and brushos; Hero Arts Antique Engravings butterfly stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; Inktense pencils in Paynes Grey, navy and sea blue; Happy Little Stampers Doodled Flowers sentiment stamp.

WWC #332 - Tristan's Challenge : All Things Feminine

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Watercooler Wednesday and Tristan is hosting an all things feminine theme.

I'm slowly getting back into card making and am looking for quick and easy cards to make!
I found this green and gold background in my stash, made by mixing Inka gold paste with water on a plastic mat and smooshing some cardstock into it.
I freshened it up by splashing on a bit more watery gold in the flower area.

The flower and sentiment diecuts are double layered for dimension and the shimmer is lovely in real life.
Here's a closer look.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Two of my favourite colours are green and gold. Hope it's ok using the black and white too.

Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge

I've gone with a new product. First time I've used my new happy birthday die
Time Out, also has a new theme, so my new sentiment die fits the bill here too.

It's time for the first CAS Christmas Challenge of 2022 and Julia has chosen the theme of silver and gold.

I diecut 2 of the stars and layered them up, then coloured the pieces with delicata gold and silver inks using a finger dauber. The sentiment was inked with a gold ink and embossed with gold powder.
The silver glitter frame is really sparkly in real life. Here's a closer look.
