Hi everyone, my last day of holidays so I'm getting in some extra crafty time!
I've been going through my paper pads and trying to think of ways to use them. I diecut this sheet and layered it onto a white diecut for dimension. I popped a smaller piece of white card behind that, then mounted the piece onto a black base card.
The happy is diecut from the same paper, layered onto black then inked and clear embossed for shine. The birthday is diecut from black gloss card.
I did inlay some of the angular pieces back into the design, not sure that that was such a good idea lol!
It looks better in real life.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Tic Tac Toe, I went with the middle row across: birthday, patterned paper and layers.
Supplies:
Paper Rose Studio charlotte decorative background die; Simon Says Stamp happy birthday die;
Lawn Fawn watercolour wishes rainbow 6x6 pad; versamark ink & clear ep;
glossy black card.
Thanks for visiting, have a great week,
Cathy x

Interesting and attractive way of using patterned paper. Thanks for sharing it with anything goes at Allsorts
This is a fabulous geometric cover plate die Cathy and what a great idea to cut it from a piece of dp and love that you cut the 'Happy' from it too and used the black glossy card for the 'Birthday' to tie in with the card base. x
Effective use of the die and DP and the sentiment really pops, many thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge.
