Thanks with artsy leaves and spray stains.

Hi everyone, I hope your festive season was a happy one.
We spent the time resting up at home. Sometimes that's what's needed! I'm on holidays from work for a few more weeks, so looking forward to more of the same with some card making thrown in!

Always a bit late to the party with new goodies, this Sizzix Artsy Leaves die was a Christmas present to myself. I had some scraps left over from projects using distress spray stains and managed to diecut quite a few of the leaves.
I sprayed the leaves with some gold glimmer mist to tie the look together, it's a bit hard to see in the photo, but they have a lovely subtle shimmer.

Last Christmas card for 2024

Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying the festive season.

I was asked to make a more traditional Christmas card that represented "the reason for the season".
That sent me digging through my unused stash of second hand retired Stampin Up goodies and pinterest for inspiration.
I found this one by Nora Marin and changed it up a bit.

I masked my base using a rectangle stencil and ink blended with distress inks in antique linen, tumbled glass and chipped sapphire. Then added a starry sky with spatters of finetec silver paint.
I stamped and clear embossed the image and sentiment, and added a diecut star.

I'm linking up to a few challenges:

I chose the technique /stash theme from May 2024 and went with the diagonal star, favourite colour (Blue) and diecut (star)

Snarky Christmas Cheer!

Hi everyone, the pace is picking up as Christmas gets closer!
Everything is busy but I needed more cards and took some time out in my craft room...wish I could stay here lol!

I love these grumpy bears and mixed and matched a few stamp sets and dies to create this scene.
I used an MFT stencil for the grass, Taylored Expressions for the bear and slogan, Tim Holtz for the gifts and hat and Waffle Flower for the sparkly die cut.
Coloured him with prismacolour pencils and chameleon pens for the hat and gifts.

Chocolate gold gilded bauble

Hi everyone, I still have a few Christmas cards I need to make and thought I'd pop this one into a few challenges.

A while ago I bought some gilding flakes and the colour is chocolate!
It's a bit hard to see in the pic but there is a lovely mix of brown and gold in the flakes!

I added some flitter glue to some cardstock and attached the gilding flakes. When dry I diecut the ornament, top and bow. The background ornament is diecut from white shimmer card.

The sentiment is stamped and embossed in gold  and the embossing folder that frames it all is called Stately by Craft Concepts.

I think brown and gold make this more of a masculine style bauble.

Masculine for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Barbara has chosen a masculine theme for this fortnight.

or build up your birthday stash with our anything goes option.

Our party guest Claire along with my team mates have some great inspiration for you so I hope you can play along.

I still have my old typewriter, although it's rarely used these days.
I love how detailed this die set is with the cute little sentiments!

I diecut it from scraps of black, blue and white card and coloured the silver parts with a jelly pen.
The background is embossed with Stampin Up's time worn type, and the sentiment was cut from black, inked with versamark and clear embossed.
The blue mat is a brushos scrap. So I've used up a bit from my scrap basket with this card!

Hi everyone, this was a quick and easy Christmas card to make.

I diecut a Sizzix snowflake from white card, inked it with versamark and sprinkled on some Wow vintage peacock embossing glitter. I layered it up on another diecut snowflake for dimension.
Hard to photograph, but so sparkly in real life!

Focal one for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Ashwini wants us to use one stamp, stamped only once as the focal point.

Or add to your birthday stash with our anything goes option.

Our party guest Fran and my team mates have some wonderful inspiration for you, so I hope to see you in the gallery.

This is a revamp of a design I made quite a few years ago. When mojo says no go I try and perk up with some of my own CASEs!

The dalmation was coloured with prismacolour pencils and fussy cut.
I went for a grungy wall background with a brick outline . Oxide and distress inks played nicely together for that.

The speech bubble is from a retired Stampin Up stamp and die set. I masked out the stamp sentiment and used a birthday sticker instead.

I'm linking up to these challenges:
