Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Jenny wants to see anything with wings.
Our party guests Helen and Rachel, along with my team mates have some great inspiration for you, so hope to see you in the gallery.
I had some stencilled glitter paste backgrounds in my stash and decided to CASE one of my own cards but with 2 smaller butterfly diecuts this time.
I have diecut a vellum base layer too, though it's hard to see in the pic.
Here's a closer look at the glittery shine!
Sadly I had a look at my pastes and they are dry :( so no new backgrounds can be made. I really wish things lasted 10 years lol!
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Allsorts, embossing
Supplies:
Glitter paste; Funky Fossil stencil; Poppystamps theo and whidby butterfly dies; Creative Expressions happy birthday die; Sizzix cracked embossing folder.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week,
Cathy x

Cathy, love those gorgeous purple and aqua butterflies. and your background is a perfect place to showcase them. Have a great weekend.
Just lovely and the embossed
background gives the impression of a painted exterior wall, perfect for our Allsorts theme, many thanks.

So pretty and in my fav colours! It is always sad when our supplies dry up, luckily you had made some extras. Thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts.
Gorgeous card, Cathy. Your butterflies are beautiful.

Gorgeous colors and card, Cathy. My pastes are dry as well and they are not even two years old if that. It is certainly frustrating that they don't last no matter how you store them.
The butterflies look so amazing with the paste and I love the embossed background! All my pastes have dried up too!
That textured background is amazing and I love the simple display of the butterflies. They are so sparkly and just beautiful.
The card looks amazing even without that glitter, but the glitter does make is extra special! Love the gorgeous blues on the butterflies and that gorgeous textured background.
Agree with your statement about the pastes though, so many of mine have dried with barely a usage or two.. just heart breaking every time i open a dried bottle. Maybe I should try using them all up within the year - and then use the creations for cards made later! ;)
Thank you, also, for joining the Addicted to Stamps & More challenge!
Beautiful card - love the texture in the background!

Gorgeous butterflies in such pretty colours and a great idea to cut them from the glitter paste pieces. I love the white embossed background too with that wonderful impasto look and great contrast with the black die cut sentiment. x
Beautiful butterflies, Cathy, and I love the background.
Try adding distilled water, a bit at a time, to your dried up paste. Poke a few holes with a cocktail stick for the water to soak in. Doesn’t work for every paste, but I’ve managed to revive a few.
Tim Holtz trick for wet pastes: cut a piece of Glad Press and Seal a bit bigger than the paste pot, cover the open pot, press it tight, then screw the lid back on. Creates an airtight seal.
Gorgeous butterflies Cathy! Love the colour choice and the sparkle is wonderful! Terrific textured background.
