Musical Birthday

Hi everyone, I was asked to make a large masculine style card for a music lover's birthday.
I came up with this 5x7 design and they seemed to like it.

The top layer was diecut with a piercing layers die, inked up with some oxide inks in blue, then embossed with a really old Spellbinders music folder. I swiped some white pigment ink over the raised areas for some definition.

I used some black gloss card for the musical notes and silver metallic card for the sentiment and name.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday, add some texture.

Can You Handle the Pressure, playing along with the anything goes option.
Supplies:
Dies: Poppystamps happy birthday poe script; Memory Box parker upper alphabet set and fancy music border; Waffle Flower A7 piercing layers.
Other: Spellbinders EL011 Music embossing folder; oxide inks; white pigment ink; black gloss and silver metallic card.

Thanks for visiting and have a great week,
Cathy x

This is a wonderful card for a music lover Cathy and I love the look of the blue tones for the background and swiping the white ink over the raised areas highlights the notes beautifully, and the black sheet music and the silver sentiment and name perfectly finish this beautiful card. I'm sure that Jamie will love it. x
