Giraffes for a Baby Boy

Hi everyone, it's starting to rain again (we need it!) so I'm staying in the craft room for a bit longer!
Some colleagues are expecting soon, so I thought I'd get some baby cards done.

I love giraffes and thought this mother and baby would be perfect, they are from a layering set by Altenew.
I used kraft card for the top layers and added shading with distress inks in antique linen, tea dye and brushed corduroy. The base layer is a chocolate brown.

I used a 3D leafy embossing folder as a background. The sentiment is layered up for dimension.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday, add some texture
Tic Tac Toe, I've gone with the diagonal- leaves-free-diecuts

Mix it Up, playing along with the anything goes option
Supplies:
Dies: Waffle Flower piercing layers; Altenew gentle giraffe; Paper Smooches welcome; Paper Rose new baby.
Other: Distress inks; 3D leafy embossing folder.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

The mother and baby giraffe are such cute images and I love the 3D embossed leaves as the background, and the blue die cut sentiments and matching matted layer finish it beautifully Cathy..such a super new baby card. x
