Hi everyone, these orange colours are warming me up,
it's been freezing here lately!
Back to work in the school office on Monday, so making the most of my craft room until then!
I stencilled the sun with some distress oxides in mustard seed, spiced marmalade and ripe persimmon.
The tall cactus was cut from some scraps of smooshed blue/yellow cardstock,
then I sponged on green distress inks to consolidate the colours. The short cactus was coloured with distress inks as were the flowers.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, make your own background.
Mix it up Challenge, anything goes + optional clean & simple.
I've gone with CAS, birthday and diecuts.
Dies R Us, anything goes (used a Sizzix die)
Supplies:
Sizzix Funky cactus dies; MFT circle extraordinaire stencil; oxide and distress inks;
Paper Smooches sentiment sampler stamp; versafine clair nocturne and clear ep; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

We are currently in the middle of a heatwave so your Cactus would be right at home here!
Great card Cathy. x
Oh Cathy, that sky is simply stunning. It is warming, that's for sure.
I can feel the heat coming off this gorgeous card Cathy! Love the ink blend and those fab cacti. Thanks for coming to play with my board at Tic Tac Toe this week! Vicky x

Gorgeous colors on this card!
This is wonderful in these hot colours Cathy and stands out even more on the black card. Our son is in Sydney and he has been complaining about the cold and constant rain at the moment. Hopefully it won't last too much longer. x
Great card, love the image and colours. Thanks for playing at Mix it Up Challenge
Wow! Such a striking card Cathy! I love the fun die cuts against your wonderful sun!! Very special! Thanks so much for joining us at HLS - Dies. Have a good day! :)
