Gingham for baby

Hi everyone, I was asked for some baby cards recently so had a play with some old stash and new patterned paper!

The embossed base is a retired Stampin up folder called square lattice which came in handy for lining up the gingham squares! Glad I had my glasses on lol!

The baby icons and from some very old Quik Cutz cookie cutter dies called Baby Shapes ( a $1 bargain at Spotlight years ago). I coloured them with some Artnic ink cubes and a finger dauber, and popped them up on foam squares for dimension.

The patterned paper is from a pad by MFT petite gingham and I used a 1" punch to get my squares.

The stamp is an old one from Papertrey Ink bundle of love, no date on the set but I've had it for about 10 years.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Retro Rubber

I've used pattern paper, dry embossing and both punches and diecuts.

Krafty Chicks Challenge , all occasions
Let's Squash it, geometry and repeating patterns

Sizzix Stampin Up square lattice embossing folder; 1" square punch; Quik Cutz baby shapes dies; Papertrey Ink bundle of love stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; Artnic ink; MFT petite gingham dp.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

What a sweet and pretty baby card Cathy, and useful to have the lattice square EF for the background, and love the colours you have used for the sweet little images and the gingham paper in the two lovely colours is perfect for the background. x

Love the embossed texture, it looks like one of those waffle/cellular blankets — perfect for a baby card!
