Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday
Glenda has chosen a non neutral card base as the theme.
You can always play along with our anything goes birthday option too. The design team and our party guest Jen have lots of ideas to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

I rarely use coloured bases, even though I have a lot of coloured card!
I think I need to use it more often.
I started out by spritzing water onto some watercolour paper, then adding a few different colours of infusions powder.
The sheet looked like a bit of a grey green muddy mess, so I sprayed on some gold glimmer mist.
That seemed to make a difference lol!
Here's a closer look at the shimmer:
Once the eucalypt border was diecut, I layered it onto some white card, then added gold strips at either side and mounted it onto the base. The sentiment is a sticker, quick and simple!
I'm linking up to these challenges:
AAA Birthday made in minutes without the christmas in July option.
Probably the slowest part here was drying the infusions on the watercolour paper, but my heat gun sped things up a lot!
CAS on Sunday, anything but white.
Watercooler Wednesday.
Cards 4 Guyz, no patterned paper.
Supplies:
Paper Rose eucalypt border die; Paper Artsy infusions; Tattered Angels gold glimmer mist; sentiment sticker.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

Those greens are fabulous, love the design and the colored card base.
Love this card! It may have been "muddy" at some stage, but I'm in awe of how beautifully it works with your card base colour! Gorgeous design, too.
The green colour you have managed to make with the infusions powders is very pretty with that gold sheen Cathy and love the gold strips either side and the white card behind which shows it of so well, and the panel matches in with the dark green background card perfectly. x
Super card, Cathy. I love the shimmer of the gold glimmer mist. xx
Beautiful card. Love the leaves die cut and it doesn't look muddy at all to me. The embossing and the gold borders are great touches and brings out the gold in your die cut piece. Love the design.
Wow, your "muddy" colors sure look fabulous to me, they are my favorite I think! You did great make a non neutral card...love that die! Heart Hugs.

I find green such a difficult colour to work with Cathy but you have absolutely nailed it here! Love this card!
This is lovely. The color came out beautiful and the gold really sets it off.
What a dramatic design, Cathy! The greens are fabulous, especially against the base and gold strips. Love the die-cut, too. Thanks so much for sharing with us for our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
I thought you used dark green cardstock! The fact that you made it is amazing... if my muddy mess looked like this, I’d do it more often! Beautiful card. The eucalypt border die is perfect for this color.
Whoa! This doesn't look muddy at all! I absolutely as in awe of this card. It could be masculine or feminine. That little bit of white is so spunky and impressive. I didn't realize that you made your own background until I read your post. Kudos to you.

I didn't think it was muddy either - though I am absolutely loving the look of gold shimmer on that color of green - absolutely golden!! Tempting me to try out a similar look too!! Thank you for the beautiful inspiration!
Nope, not muddy: subtle like the real leaves. I love the panel with the white background, really shows the leaves off beautifully.
