Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday!
The theme, Colleen has chosen is it's just a number.
Or, you can play along with anything goes birthday.
The design team and our party guest have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.
I've been playing with some retired Stampin Up stamps, Tie Dyed.
I spritzed some water on watercolour paper and inked up the 3 spiral stamps in various dye ink colours.
I thought the swirls went well with the groovy die, and diecut the word from a failed tie dyed attempt lol!
The number was inked with versamark and embossed with some midnight violet powder.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday says Stamp it.
Watercooler Wednesday all about occasions.
Work it Wednesday has a celebrate theme.
Stampin Up tie dyed stamp; Su inks in brocade blue, orchid and coastal cabana; Lawn Fawn reveal wheel sentiments; Memory Box Parker number dies; Cheery Lynn Groovy die; Lifestyle Crafts twirl embossing folder; versamark ink & Lindys midnight viplet ep; versafine ink & clear ep; birthday sticker.
Thanks for visiting,
Love your "groovy" birthday card Cathy. Pretty tie dyed colors and design.
Such a groovy card Cathy. Love the tie die panel, with its great choice of colours and the matching embossed background. Thanks for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday this week. Tristan DT.
This brings me back to my tie dye days! A pretty card and beautiful colors. This is a great design and I love the "groovy" sentiment.
Definitely groovy, the sentiment is brilliant especially with the black drop shadow. I love how the pattern is echoed on the embossed panel, great looking card x
Tye dye was a big thing as I was growing up. Yours reminds me of the t-shirts that we made. This is a great card for masculine or feminine person.
Great card Cathy! I feel like I'm back in the 70's! :) I do remember tie-dying a t-shirt - it was a lot of fun. Your card totally brings back those memories. Fabulous design and colours. Very groovy!! xx
Love the tie dyed look. I remember making tie dyed tee shirts in my teens. This is an awesome card. Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week. Dawn -DT
A cool card, my friend! You've got me feelin' groovy!
Groovy is perfect with the tie dyed stamped panel, Cathy. Such a fun idea. Great card. x
You sure have captured a moment in time with your unique and wonderful card x.
This looks quite retro Cathy and very pretty with the addition of just a little water, and what could be better than that embossed background with those mass of circle shapes and the perfect sentiment too. x
Love this card Cathy! Your tie-dye spirals are fabulous! Then you carried over the spirals with embossing! The entire card is perfection!!
Definitely a 'groovy' card!! Love the tie-dye look, and how the embossing totally matches it. Everything is brought together so easily in this card! Love it!
Definitely one groovy card! And aiming it at someone turning 60 seems just about right, lol.
Great 60th card here Cathy! love the embossing and clever tie-die panel ;) Viv xx
Yummy colours, Cathy ... funky as well as groovy ... cool, man! Hugs, Anita :)
Thanks for the warm welcome and kind words! I'm so happy to be a guest at the party. Your card reminds me of an old VW van and my tie dyed sweatshirt...haha! Wonderfully groovy card!
