Cold snap - warm thoughts!

Hi everyone, I was excited to be asked to be a guest designer at Inkspirational after winning a couple of their challenges earlier this year.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCjVzgoHqXP7xRXTXotKnRUhQRhx1WekcD5V2yhKDutvNIcX0fxbVkq-FNpV0l8_f65IRCTpMzz5T6vx8R05CVvgrG4E7R3jCzMBHLQiHnmbWtz-cFmoeY8zz6IcEiKwDg_jloxYbNuzbu/s320/Challenge168.png

This theme was a bit tricky for me and once I got the idea of a cold snap in my head I couldn't shake it lol! We are nearing the end of winter here in Australia and it has been incredibly cold and frosty for this late in the season.
The snowflakes were inked with versamark and embossed with Wow white twinkling embossing glitter, it's so sparkly in real life! The blue panel was inked with some distress oxides and spritzed with water.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's anything goes.

At A Blog named Hero it's sparkle and shine.
Yhe stamped sentiment is from the Hero Arts Find Joy set.

At Outside the Box they want to see winter cards.

Monthlythemebadge

Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge has a diecuts theme,

and it's anything goes at Happy Little Stampers anything goes with dies.

Supplies:

Memory Box Lindeman snowflake die; versamark ink and white twinkling embossing glitter; distress oxide inks; Hero Arts Find joy sentiment stamp; versafine ink; hammer card base.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

I can even see some sparkle on screen and I know how difficult it is to photograph! Such a beautiful card - so elegantly simple looking , yet so skillfully made. I really love a blue/white/silver colour combo, especially for Christmas cards. Thank you for being a wonderful Guest Designer at Inkspirational.

Beautiful design and perfect interpretation for the word prompt. Love those snowflakes, lucky for us its been very mild around here but I know when I go to see mum and dad in Canberra brrrr that is so woollen weather.

Congratulations on the Guest Designer spot at Inkspirational, Cathy!
Your snowflakes are amazing! The delicate die-cut design and the gorgeous embossing (just the name of the embossing glitter is sparkly) are fantastic! The spatters on the blue panel add so much interest. Hideko xx

Hard to imagine you are nearing the end of winter, as we are still in the heat of late August. The snowflakes certainly sparkle beautifully, and WOW EP's are always so amazing. The sparkle looks lovely against the icy blue panel too! TFS & Hugs

LOVE this card Cathy! The icy blue is perfect to represent a cold snap! :) Love the texture of your card base, and then the strip of water splattered DOX inks is so pretty in the shades of blue. Those snowflakes look so sparkly and I bet they are even more sparkly in real life. Gorgeous design! xx
