Hi everyone, I'm scraping in late again to a few challenges.
Had major computer problems with Windows 10 updates, and then today we had no electricity from 5am to 3pm!
The theme at Twofer Card Challenge is pets.
I love terriers like these, although our dogs are nothing like them lol! We have a blue heeler and a black labrador.
I've used snow texture paste for the furry look, and coloured it with black acrylic paint for the black dog.
I'm linking this card, to these challenges:
At The Male Room the theme is symmetry.
I used the rule of thirds to lay this design out, and tried to get the pup's positions to be symmetrical.
and the anything goes option at Happy Little Stampers watercolour challenge.
I've created the background by smooshing watercolour paper through some brushos spritzed with water.
At Inkspirational the theme is play. These 2 pups look like they're about to have a great play session!
Supplies:
Marianne Design dog die; Poppystamps grassland border die; Simon Says Stamp hellos die;DecoArt snow tex paste; brushos; forest moss distress ink. The white card base is embossed with Spellbinders Valor embossing folder.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

Such adorable cards, both of them. Love the texture paste on the scotties and great idea to colour one of theme with black acrylic paint x.
What wonderful pups! I love the texture you gave each of them. Your birthday card is so classic "Scottie" with those colors and textures. I love how happy they look to be saying "hello" together in your fun outdoor scene. Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
Love, love your Scottie dogs! I'm a dog lover from way back!
Did you do mirror stamping with these little guys? I love your idea of using the paste to create their coats. So very realistic as well as a lot of texture. Love BOTH of these, and nice grass. Love the deep blue sky and the texture of the EF on the white & black one. Really cute. TFS & Hugs
Being a Scot I looooooooove Scottie Dogs and how you have made them all furry. Fabulous both cards Cathy. I have that die and love it. Great contrast for the Twofer Challenge.
Cathy, these are such cutie-patootie terriers! I love that you made one little guy a Westie and the other a Scottie for great contrast! You achieved amazing texture on each and the backgrounds are fabulous!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #4! Hugs, Darnell
The terriers are sooo cute, Cathy! What a clever idea to use the snow texture paste for them (and colored one black with acrylic paint)! Wonderful towfer cards.
Sorry to hear about the computer and electricity problems, but I'm so glad that I was able to get to see these cards! Hideko xx
