Hi, I needed a masculine sympathy card and thought this simple image and sentiment
would fit the bill nicely.
I'm linking up to the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday
where the theme is to rock the technique. I used the resist technique of stamping and embossing then sponging ink over the top.
I wanted the edge to stand out without having to add too many layers so I swiped it with versamark ink, dipped it into gold embossing powder and set it with a heat tool. It was my first time trying this technique and I'm happy with the result.
I'm also linking up to the challenge at CASology where the theme is grass.
Supplies:
Ink: Versafine onyx black; antique linen distress; versamark.
Stamps: Papertrey Ink sympathy.
Other: embossing powder-clear and gold.

Cathy, this is so elegant and could be for either gender too. Love the texture of the background but the embossed edges on your focal piece are just wonderful. That's a grand job with that technique, as I first thought it was the 'lined' pieces of outline stickers. I can never get those edges so pristine & even. This is just so lovely. TFS - Happy Sunday

Great masculine card. That is a neat way to make the gold outlline and it really adds so much to the card. I love the verse.
