Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Ashwini wants to see us use vellum or acetate on our birthday cards for this fortnight.
Or play along with our anything goes birthday option.
Our party guests Kathy and Kerry, along with my team mates have some great ideas to inspire you, so I hope you can join us in the gallery.
I've had these goodies in my stash for ages and since I'm trying to use everything (at least once!!) I thought I'd try acetate in the glasses.
Here's a closer look. I cut a piece of acetate to fit the larger frames.
The frames are dicut from metallic card and the birthday diecut from glossy black card, layered up for dimension.
I masked a Penny Black stamp for the word spectacular and used a tiny Lawn Fawn sentiment as well.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Aud Sentiments, playing along with the birthdays option
Supplies: Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle and birthday girl dies; unknown brand glasses dies; Penny Black perspective stamp; Lawn Fawn reveal wheel holiday sentiments stamp; verafine clair inks & clear ep; metallic cardstock. Thanks for visiting and have a great week,
Cathy x

What an absolutely fun card. The idea is great along with the sentiment.
What a fun card Cathy. The acetate is perfect with those large glasses. Love all the different colored ones in the background. The sentiment is perfect.
Love your idea of having so many cool, shiny, metallic spectacles and love that punny sentiment. Great idea for my topping, Cathy!
Absolutely love your colourful, glossy glasses! So much fun and brilliant idea for the topping.
Rilliant use of acetate! The glasses with the sentiment is PUN-tastic!
