Hi everyone, it;s time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Nancy has chosen hearts as the theme.
Of course anything birthday goes too, and if you need some inspiration, have a look at our party guest and the DT's wonderful cards!
I had stamped and fussycut a heart from a retired Stampin Up set Groovy Love, then decided it didn't go with the colours in the sentiment!
I turned the heart over and coloured it with oxide inks and embossed it with a tiny hearts folder,
I liked that better lol, although I think you can just see some of the heat embossed dots from the other side peeking through.
(It adds texture :)
The sentiment is also coloured with oxide inks and clear embossed for some shine.
Here's a closer look.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Adicted to Stamps & More,
My scripty birthday die is new so I'm visiting Darnell's NBUS challenge
Supplies:
Stamps: SU Groovy Love heart; Spellbinders sentiments (no set name)
Inks: Versafine clair nocturne; distress oxide ink Salty ocean, tumbled glass, blueprint sketch.
Other: clear embossing powder: Mama Elepahant scripty birthday die; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die; Cuttlebug Love language embossing folder.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

Lovely cas card and the blue is fab.
I love your very CAS design Cathy and the blue heart with the embossed hearts (even the ones barely coming through) adds a wonderful texture to the heart! Your birthday die is fabulous with the colors and then heat embossed with clear...I am going to remember that because it really makes it pop!
Wow wow wow! I think those super faint dots were meant to be on your heart. :) Love the embossing on the sentiment, as well. And... thanks for joining us at Addicted to Stamps and More!
A lovely CAS card Cathy. The blue heart is pretty with the embossed hearts. The birthday sentiment looks great and is so shiny. Great card.
Its Bloooooo!!
Love it - and love when able to save something that went awry and salvage it - I seem to be doing that a lot lately - Mxxx
Such a bright and pretty blue die cut heart and sentiment with the ombre look on both. A brilliant card Cathy. x
Gorgeous card Cathy! Love your ombre heart and matching sentiment. Love the texture from the small embossed hearts! xx
Wow! That birthday die is fabulous and so is the embossed heart! Love the color!
Crushing over the various shades of blue on your card and the dotted heart was certainly 'meant to be'. Such a pretty card. Thrilled to be guest designing with you and the team for the next two months.
