I'm still making much needed Christmas cards but thought I'd take a break to play with a new die set.
This card uses 2 of the dies and cuts 2 borders and the middle section.
I bought it to make wedding cards and after a few wasted efforts finally worked out how to get it to cut through properly!
I laid it on my Big Shot Plus on a metal plate at an angle and ran it through twice. Any other way didn't work...whew!
I trimmed an inka gold smooshed background from my stash to fit under the borders.
Here's a closer look at the shimmer.
The sentiment is stamped with versafine clair nocturne and embossed with silver ep.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, fun with dies.
Darnell's NBUS challenge since my Paper Rose die and the stamp set are brand newbies!
Paper Rose ornate swirl rectangle die; inka gold pastes; Woodware wedding words stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink and Wow fine detail silver ep.
Thanks for visiting,
This is a very pretty cover die Cathy and the Inca Gold background goes beautifully under it and the inner ornate mats look great. A wonderful wedding card. Glad you managed to find a way to cut it. Sometimes these intricate dies are a bit frustrating and you spend more time picking the bits out than actually cutting it. x
Beautiful card....gorgeous background! Very pretty card. Have a great week and thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday. Karen
This is lovely. The die is beautiful and the inka gold gives such a pretty shine.
Wow - how beautiful Cathy! That Inca Gold is so pretty and your die cuts are wonderful! xx
Beautifully done Cathy....perfect for a wedding card!!!
A beautiful wedding card, Cathy! The background is lovely with the soft colors and shine! And that die is amazing to show off the Inka Gold!
Lovely wedding card! Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge! Kath-DT
Gorgeous wedding card Cathy! I LOVE the colours and shine of the Inka Gold behind the intricately cut borders. What a lovely die ... so glad you worked out how to cut it perfectly. xx
I'm so glad you persevered, Cathy, because this blushing pink-hued wedding card is simply stunning! I love the elegance and the shimmer! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Happy Holiday Hugs, Darnell
