Hi everyone, this is my first time making a card for the CAS Christmas Challenge DT.
There are a few changes happening with the other CAS challenges.
Stencil, Mix up and Watercolour will all be part of one challenge that rotates through each of these styles.
I hope I have time to still play along in these challenges, but I will be focussing on the Christmas one, and looking forward to building up my stash of cards early!
Linda has chosen bells as the theme for June.
My stash consists of one stamp with a bell on it!
It's a retired Stampin Up set called Christmas Classics. I thought it needed something to jazz it up so diecut the large circle burst in white card and layered it onto the base.
Then I diecut 3 more in different coloured glitter papers and inlaid the dots!
It was very therapeutic lol!
Here's a closer look at the sparkle.
I'm linking up to this challenge:
Merry Little Christmas Challenge, where it's anything goes Christmas all year rond.
Stampin Up Christmas Classics stamp; versafine clair ink & Wow silver embossing powder; Memory Box large circle burst die; glitter paper.
Thanks for visiting,
Lovely traditional Christmas card, love the inlaid circle die with the red, green and silver. Congratulations on joining the Design Team, I hope you have a blast x
What a beautiful dotted framing you created around your lovely silver embossed bell and sentiment Cathy! I can't imagine how much time it took you to adhere all those glittery circle inserts! The colors are so pretty with the silver! xx
CAS and absolutely BEAUTIFUL Cathy! And who needs more than one bell stamp when it produces such a lovely, lovely card?! Love it!! :0)
This is so sweet Cathy! I love the silver sentiment and bell surrounded by the colourful cirlces of dots. The glitter really makes them sparkle. I can imagine the time it took to inlay all those dots, but so worth it with this fabulous card for your stash! Welcome to the CAS Christmas team Cathy! xx
gorgeous card, I can't believe you inlay all those dots. It was totally worth :) Fantastic card.
Oh my gosh, this is fabulous, but I can't believe you inlaid all those teeny weeny dots!! You have PATIENCE!!! But the final effect is amazing!
Such a pretty Christmas card, Cathy! I love how you stamped your sentiment and how you added sparkle behind the concentric circles ~ Barb
Wow..that is a lot of tiny dot inlaying, my friend. I am impressed:-) LOVED the effect and how you stamped and inlaid the center circle too. I have this die and love it. TFS and always inspiring me Cathy. Hugs..Nancy
Such a pretty look with the central cute little silver bell and sentiment within the dotty circle, and love the different colour glitter paper dots you have inset, it must have been a bit fiddly but well worth the effort as the finished card is so elegant and beautiful Cathy. x
Welcome to the team!
That stamp is adorable and perfect for this challenge. The circle burst is a great way to highlight it. And I’m in awe of your patience to inlay all those glitter dots... the result is amazing!
oh my the work on this one...definitely made for a gorgeous cas card.
Wow what patience and so worth it as it is a unique and beautiful CAS Christmas card Cathy x.
Welcome to the team Cathy. Wow, you must have a lot of patience to adhere all of those tiny dots into these circles. What a beautiful image you have created. Stunning card with the embossed silver bell taking center stage.
LOL, placing all those glitter dots and not loosing any would be therapeutic or drive one over the deep end! I'm glad it was therapeutic and it made for a very festive card! Love the stamped bell!
I am in awe that you inlaid all those dots! All I can say is WOW. It is a beautiful card and the shine from the image and dots is just lovely.
Your bell Christmas card is so cute, Cathy! The holiday colored glittery circles look like they're echoing the sound of bell! I admire your patience for inlaying those small dots. I'm so happy to be on the same Design Team with you! :-)
Shimmery, festive and so deliciously CAS, Cathy ... beautifully inlaid! Hugs, Anita :)
So much work to inlay those dots but well worth it, Cathy!! I love the colors you chose with that deeper metallic closest. Perfect for that fun bell with sentiment in the circle!!
Your design for creating the circles around the bell is wonderful and must have a lot of work. Kudos.
