Golden dragonfly.

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday,  and Nancy has chosen stencils as the optional theme.

There are so many fun ways to use stencils, with paste, inks, paints, sprays or even dry embossing.
The design Team and our party guest have lots of ideas to inspire you. Or, you can always play along with the anything goes birthday option!

I spread some grit paste through a stripes stencil and when it was dry painted it with some teal- pink opal magic paint. I wanted more shimmer so I sprinkled on some brushos gold sprinkle it, spritzed with water and used a soft brush to spread it around.
Here's a closer look.

I like the shimmery grungy look!

The dragonfly was stamped with versafine, clear embossed, fussy cut and painted with twinkling H2Os.

Tha happy is a diecut inked with versamark and embossed with aged gold embossing enamel.

I'm linking up to some challenges:

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's make your mark.

Inkspirational has fauna as a word prompt.

Supplies:
Indigo Blu dragonfly stamp, versafine onyx black ink and clear ep; Twinkling H2Os; Tim Holtz stripe stencil and grit paste; Art Alchemy teal-pink opal magic paint; Brushos gold sprinkle it powder; Poppy Stamps jumbled birthday die; versamark ink and Stampendous aged gold embossing enamel; birthday sentiment sticker.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

Love those irregular stripes and how you've colored the panel, Cathy! A perfect place for that awesome dragonfly to perch!

This is gorgeous Cathy and that stencilled background is beautiful and love the dimension with the paste and the prettily coloured dragonfly looks great over the top and finished perfectly with the gold dimensional sentiment. I hope that the fires have not got any closer to you. I have been speaking to our son in Sydney and it has been raining very heavily and they are due to have more over the weekend, so hope that maybe you will be getting some wet weather too though probably hotter and dryer generally where you are. x

Beautiful card, Cathy. Your shimmery grunge looks kinda like patina, but more beautiful because of all that yummy shimmer. Loving all the dimensions too.

Cathy, this is a work of art! I love dragonflies! It's wonderful how you got this one to land on your pretty stenciled panel! Well, it DOES look real! And the heft of that golden happy makes it look like jewelry!! Hugs, Darnell

Wow, wonderful stripe stenciled panel, Cathy! I love the colors, shimmer, shine, and the grungy look! The dragonfly and the embossed sentiment have the same aged feel and just a little of black is a great accent.
