I spent some of today distressing some panels and tags.
On this one I used a few green distress inks then spritzed with some gold perfect pearls mixed with water. (There's a soft gold shimmer that doesn't show too well in the photo.)
I stamped and clear embossed the ferns, then added the dragonfly.
(It's covering a run of water that I didn't like!)
I'm linking up to these challenges:
At Simon Says Stamp Monday its time to use a hint of clover.
Addicted to CAS has a distress theme.
Addicted to Stamps & More has a CAS theme.
Virginia's View Challenge has an embossing theme.
My third entry uses dry embossing on the white base and wet embossing for the ferns.
At Cuttlebug Mania it's a monochromatic green colour challenge, and you need to use a manual diecutting/embossing machine like a Cuttlebug.
Supplies:
Papertrey Ink woodgrain cover plate; Memory Box dragonfly die; Penny Black Breezy stamp; distress inks; versafine olympia green ink and clear embossing powder; vellum; twinkling H2O's; sentiment sticker.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

Don't you just love how you can cover up mistakes etc with embellishments!! I do that with enamel dots and sequins all the time as I'm a bit of a klutz with ink. Such a fantastic card and love the dry embossing with the green colour and image, really striking. So glad you shared this with us at ATSM this week!
What a beautiful panel, Cathy! Love the colour with the touch of gold shimmer and that gorgeous embossed fern. So elegant :)
Just gorgeous - love the dragon fly - how beautiful those imperfections make our card - covering them up with those wonderful embellishments!
A beautiful and stunning card Cathy, with gorgeous colours. I love the fern stamp, and like you add bits to cover mishaps.

Lovely card and I love how you've used the dragonfly to cover an area you weren't happy with, you'd never have known! Thank you for sharing and for joining us over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog... :)
Somedays all I seem to do is cover up mistakes with something or other ,but in this case I think it finishes your card beautifully and love it! x
It's gorgeous, Cathy! Can't get enough of green right now because the view outside of my window is still white!
You may know how much I love ferns, Cathy, so this card has stolen my heart!! That dragonfly was MEANT to land there, lol!! Hugs, Darnell

I really love this fern Cathy and the gorgeous green background suits it perfectly. I love the added dragonfly too and no-one would ever have known it was there to cover up something you didn't like as it looks as though it was meant to be there. I had a strategically placed bird on my latest card to cover something too ..lol. We all have to be inventive sometimes. x
This is so pretty. I love the panel look and the dragonfly looks almost transparent. It just glows I really like the fern stamp. It is a perfect addition to add to your panel.
Gorgeous design and I love how you distressed your panel! Beautiful card, Cathy! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at ATSM!
You know telling us about your mistakes reminds us that you are human!!! lol Mxxx
Wow! This is really gorgeous! And there are no mistakes in crafting just new ways to create something different than we had in mind! And sometimes we are surprised with the results! And this result is absolutely stunning!
Thank you so much for joining us at Cuttlebug Mania!
