Wish I was here!

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Colleen wants us to make a sunset.
Mine's not perfect but I'd like to be there lol!

You can always play along with our anything goes birthday option too, if you're not in the mood for a sunset.
Our party guest Carol and my team mates have some wonderful inspiration for you,
so hope to see you in the gallery.

I diecut a circle in some copy paper and used that as a template to blend distress oxide inks in sunset colours.
I love silhouettes and these palm trees take me off to a lovely restful place!

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Allsorts, anything goes option

Supplies:
Distress oxide inks; palm tree die brand unknown; Spellbinders circle die and Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die; Happy Little Stampers mix mash sentiment; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep.

Sparkly Stencil

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and I've chosen stencils as the theme.

My team mates and our guest Carol have some wonderful inspiration for you, although if you aren't into stencilling, you can always play along with our anything goes birthday option too!
Look forward to seeing you in the gallery.

I have been collecting stencils for quite a while and need to use them more as they are perfect for quick and easy cards! Once you work out which one you are using lol!

This one is new to me from Simon Says Stamp and I used glitter paste and a diecut sentiment.
It's REALLY sparkly in real life!
(I think I'll invest in a light box as pics may show up better!)

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Just kidding...!

Hi everyone, it's back to work, or work from home next week, so I made this card to get in the mood lol!!
No, I love my job, although Covid has thrown a lot of challenges into the mix!

I picked this sentiment stamp up ages ago and couldn't think how I'd use it. When I saw this retired Stampin Up set with a chair in it I thought it'd be a perfect match!

I've used versafine clair inks and clear embossing powder.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Make My Monday, embossing either. I've used wet embossing.

Mix It Up Challenge, anything goes. I'm joining in without the optional paper piecing.

Since these are never before used goodies, I'm also linking up to Darnell's NBUS Challenge

Supplies:
Riley and Company sentiment stamp; Stampin Up welcome to the team chair stamp; versafine clair ink; clear embossing powder; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.

Birthday cakes!

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Shirley has chosen cakes as our theme.

Our party guest Jenny and my team mates have some delicious looking ideas to inspire you so I hope you can play along.

Of course there is always the anything goes birthday option too! A great opportunity to build up your stash of birthday cards.

I purchased a few retired Penny Black stamps recently, so thought I'd ink this one up as it features a fabulous looking cake! Well what you can see of it lol.

I stamped the image in versafine clair nocturne and clear embossed it. Then coloured the image using distress markers (some of them have dried up!! need to google fixing that!) and prismacolour pencils.
(The shading on and around the chooks looks a lot lighter in the photo).

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Allsorts, anything goes with the option of nature

Little Red Wagon, animals from Old Macdonald's Farm

Penny Black Saturday Challenge, anything goes and I've used the option of wet embossing.

Supplies:
Penny Black best of luck stamp; Inspired by Stamping birthday greetings sentiment;
versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; distress markers; prismacolour pencils; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.
