WWC 323 - Cathy's Challenge : All Things Feminine

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Watercooler Wednesday and it's my turn to host a feminine themed challenge!

The design team have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you can play along. All of the details are on the blog.

I made this card for my Mum who loves birds. She is in a nursing home and since we are back in lockdown, she can't have any visitors.
Not many cases at all here in my part of northern NSW, but better to be safe than sorry!

The bird is a retired Stampin Up punch coloured with distress inks.
The flowers are also a punch and the greenery is from a diecut coloured with distress inks that I snipped leaves from!

CAS Dreamy butterfly and magicals

Hi everyone, playing with new goodies again today,
Lindy's magicals and these 2 dies.
Love the look of this Memory Box butterfly, added a body from the Theo butterfly set. I cut away the edge of the ring a ding corner die to give a more random effect

I picked up some of the magicals with a damp paintbrush, added some water and painted the white diecuts. Here's a closer look at the shimmer.

Sand & Shells

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and our fearless leader Nancy has chosen by the sea as the theme!

Of course, you can always play along with our anything goes birthday option too.

Our party guest this month is Jenny, and welcome to Jules, our newest team mate.
They, along with the rest of the team have some wonderful cards to inspire you. Look forward to seeing your makes in the gallery!

I think I've only used these starfish and seashell dies once,  and the background stamp just a couple of times.
I really need to make more use of what I have and spend less time searching for new goodies lol!

Anyway, I'm not a beach person, but if I do go to the seaside you'll fine me wandering in the sand looking for seashells.

The background was stamped with antique linen oxide ink.
The shells were coloured with a light peach chameleon pen, vintage photo distress ink and then a paint wash of inka gold in rose quartz, champagne or silver,

Here's a closer look at the shine.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

As You Like It Challenge, favourite primary colour and why.

My favourite primary colour is blue, it's a relaxing and peaceful colour and you just have to look at the sky to feel that way!

Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog, anything goes + a sentiment

I was inspired by the colours and the prominent starfish. My card is in the clean and layered category I think.

A stripe of stripes!

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Vicki has chosen stripes as the theme.

If dots are more your thing, then you can play along with our anything goes challenge, so long as it's for a birthday!

Lots of inspiration on the blog from our party guest Jenny and my team mates, so I hope you can play along.

I got stuck on the idea of using washi tape and nothing else was working lol!
Love the colours on this tape and could only think to add a stripe of stripey tape!

The sentiment was inked with versamark and embossed with Lindy's midnight gold ep.
The butterfly was stamped, embossed, fussycut and coloured with Inktense pencils and a waterbrush.

Here's a closer look at the shine and sparkle from the stickles on the butterfly.

Snowflake Ornament

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at CAS Christmas and it was my turn to choose the theme, decorations.

My team mates and our guest Lucie have some wonderful inspiration for you so I hope you can play along.

This is a new to me snowflake die from Sizzix. It's larger than any I have so perfect for hanging on a Christmas tree!
I diecut it from white card, inked it with versamark ink and sprinkled on silent night embossing powder.

Here's a closer look at the sparkle.

(I've popped it up on small foam dots which could be carefully removed so that you can hang this on a tree.)
