CAS with a die for Seize the Birthday

 

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Glenda  wants us to try a CAS card with dies.

Or make any birthday card in any style you like!

Our party guest and my team mates have loads of inspiration for you, so I hope you can play along.

This is a new to me unicorn die and I couldn't wait to try it out.

I made a similar card many years ago but only had a stamp that I had to fussycut. This was so much easier!

I used cardstock painted with opal paints, there's a lovely shimmer in real life and a bit of a colour shift happens in the light, perfect for a unicorn, and the magical sentiment.

Other: various Lawn Fawn reveal wheel sentiment stamps, versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; various Art Alchemy opal paints; hammered cardstock.

Guest for The Male Room Challenge - CAS

 

Hi everyone,
 I was delighted to be asked to guest design with the The Male Room Challenge team, when my baby boy card won a challenge recently.

I have hubby and 2 sons to make cards for, so masculine cards are always in demand here!

Thankyou to the team for inviting me, I had lots of fun with this CAS card.

The shoes are diecut from some ancient dp in my stash!

The laces are from some cotton twine that I pulled a couple of strands from then threaded through with a needle. I didn't have any wool or thicker thread!

I inked up a piece of square card with stormy sky ink and layered it behind the border panel for some extra colour. The border is a hemstitch square die from Spellbinders, had it for ages and this is it's first outing!

Guest Design for AAA Birthday - Slimline

 

Hi everyone, I was delighted to be asked to guest design again at AAA Birthday when I won the October Challenge.

I have a few slimline supplies and rarely use them so this helped me shop my stash lol!

Thankyou to the team at AAA for inviting me, this was a fun challenge.

The donuts sprinkles and sentiment are diecut from cardstock I had coated in lunar paste. Here' s a closer look at the shimmer.
