Wedding card with alcohol inks

Hi, I'm still trying to catch up with cards I need to make!
We're going to a wedding soon and I wanted to make something a bit different for
the bride and groom.

One of the bloom die cuts is inlaid and the other is glued on top so that the crossing stems weren't too bulky.
The effect of the alcohol inks look way better in real life, can't quite get my angle right!

I'm going to link up at the Mixed Media Card Challenge where the theme is a touch of nature.
In addition to stamps and ink, you need to add at least 2 other items or techniques to add dimension and texture.
I've used an embossing folder, metal sheet, die cuts, alcohol ink and ribbon.
I'm still getting used to the rules, but there are lots of gorgeous examples of mixed media from the design team.

My tag and ribbon are from my snippets box so I'm popping over to the playground again at
Pixie's Crafty Workshop. You only need to use 1 snippet on your project to join in the fun.

Materials used:
Simon Says Stamp fresh daisies die; Entangle embossing folder; Annabelles Stamps sentiment stamp; versafine ink & clear ep; tag punch; alcohol inks; ribbon from stash.

Thanks for visiting, and have a great week,
Cathy x

WOW, another fabulous shimmery card Cathy. I love how you inlaid one flower so the other could cross over - clever trick!

I see you are taking a bit of a break yourself, Cathy. Thank you for stopping by! I'm glad you are taking a break so this is at the top of your blog; otherwise, I might have missed it while I was away. The alcohol ink treatment of the inlay is heart-stoppingly stunning! It looks like mother-of-pearl!! It's going to be treasured by the happy couple and pinned by me!! Hugs, Darnell

Your flowers look so metallic and shiny in this photo. That they are even more so in real life must make them really spectacular looking. Great card! It's perfect for a wedding. I like that you inlay one of the flowers and layered the other on top.

Hi Shaz, I used metal sheet. It has a sticky back so I stuck it onto a piece of card then coloured with the alcohol inks, Cathy x

Would love a step by step for how you got the effect on ??metal. What sort of metal did you use? Was it ordinary aluminium foil as for cooking? Did you paint it with the inks or just drop them on randomly before die-cutting? Sorry for being nosey but I love your card!! janet in UK
