Add a Tag for Seize the Birthday

 

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Jules wants us to use a tag for this round.

Or add to your stash with our anything goes birthday option.

Our party guest Jennie and my team mates have loads of inspiration for you, so I hope you can play along.

I used some new to me stamps and butterfly dies for this card.

I was inspired by Kristina Werner's youtube using the stamp and dye inks.

I stamped the flower in versamark and embossed in gold. I smooshed some inks onto a mat and played with watercolouring. This was lots of fun!

I used a large tag die as I wanted to keep as much of the background as possible so put it on a 5x7 card base. I edged the tag in gold ink before layering it up.

I thought it needed something else so added a butterfly in white with a vellum layer on top to soften it.

The sentiment is diecut from some black glossy card.

Green as the Main Colour for Seize the Birthday

I may have gone a bit overboard with green here between inking and the card base!

The stamp is one I have had for many years and thought I'd ink up again, Penny Black's dreamy.

I love the wispy look of the flower.

Happy 18th Birthday!

 

Hi everyone, I was asked to make a masculine 18th birthday card recently and thought I'd try something with silver black and gold.

I think this would work for many ages.

I stamped the confetti stamp in silver and embossed with silver ep to add some shine.

The sentiment and numbers and diecut from gold cardstock, layered up for some dimension.
