Rainbow of Colours for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and I have chosen rainbow of colours for this round.

Or build up your birthday card stash with our anything goes option.

Our party guests and my team mates have some great colourful inspiration for you, so I hope you can play along,

I was inspired by a card that had used a leafy die as a border for a sentiment. Unfortunately I can't find the card to link it here!

I thought I would change it up by using a rainbow of colours, diecutting the branches from cardstock coated in lunar paste. There's a lovely shimmer IRL.

I'm linking up to these challenges:
Aud Sentiment, anything goes + sentiment.

Moving Along With the Times, use stencils and/or dies. I've gone with dies.

Word Power, sentiment focus

Supplies:
Dies: Simon Says Stamp delicate branch; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangles.
Other: Simon Hurley lunar pastes; Poppystamps Art Deco birthday greetings stamp: verafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep.

Thanks for visiting and have a great week,

Snowflake Background for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, I hope you had a happy festive season and that 2026 is a good year for you.

It's our first challenge for 2026 and Barbara has asked us to make our own snowflake background.
Snow is wishful thinking for me as we've been having lots of heatwaves! I do love snowflakes though and this gave me a chance to play with some rarely used dies!

or play along with our anything goes birthday theme.

My team mates and our party guests Helen and Stephanie have some wonderful inspiration for you, so I hope you can play along.

I had this inka gold smooshed background in my stash and decided to decorate it with white snowflakes. They are double layered for dimension. The sentiment and tiny snowflakes are diecut from silver card, although it looks white in the pic. Here's a closer look at the shimmer and shine from the inka gold paste.

Guest Design for AAA Birthday - Winter Birthday

Hi everyone,
I hope the festive season was a happy one for you and that 2026 is a great year for all of you.
I'm planning on a cruise holiday in a couple of months and then I'm taking 6 months leave or so from work, so exciting times ahead!

I was delighted to be asked to guest design with AAA Birthday when my snarky card won a challenge recently.
Thankyou to the AAA Team for invinting me along, I had fun with the Winter Birthday theme!

I've used lots of glittery cardstock for the snow, sentiment and confetti so this card is very sparkly IRL!
I'm linking up to these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, add a sentiment.
Simon Says Stamp Monday, sparkle & shine.
Can You Handle the Pressure, playing along with the winter blues twist.
I've used the Sizzix Christmas dots embossing folder.

Cut it Up, anything goes using a diecut.

Little Red Wagon, use the force. I've used an embossing folder and lots of diecuts.

Supplies:
Sizzix Christmas dots embossing folder; Whimsy Stamps yay die; Lawn Fawn All the party hats stamps and die; Taylored Expressions celebration confetti dies; unknown brand penguin and stitched border dies; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die; glitter cardstock; chameleon pens.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy New Year!
