Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and JoAnn has chosen pastel colours only as the theme.
My team mates and our party guest Jenny have some wonderful inspiration for you, all of the details are on the blog.
Of course, you can always play along with the anything goes birthday option too!
Just realized I've used a black base with my pastels! Wanted them to pop a bit though :)
I inked up some cardstock with oxides, splashed on some water and dried it thoroughly before stamping the background with versamark ink.
I embossed it and the sentiment with white pearl powder. Lots of pearly sheen, here's a closer look.
The butterfly was stamped on a scrap of card that had been painted with opal paints, clear embossed and fussy cut.
It changes colour depending on the light. Looks more pastel at this angle!
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Hero Arts large flower background stamp; versafine ink and Wow fine detail white pearl ep;
oxide inks in spun sugar, wilted violet and tumbled glass; Memory Box cocoa bean butterfly stamp; Art Alchemy opal magic paints;
Creative Expressions stacked happy birthday die.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
