Christmas plaid

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at CAS Christmas and Colleen has chosen plaid as the theme.
Our guest Melanie and my team mates have some great inspiration for you so I hope you can play along.
All of the details are on the blog.

I don't have any plaid stamps or designer paper but I do have a plaid stencil.
I diecut a tag thinking I'd use that then stencilled some sugar glitter paste through it.

It was sparkly but a bit bland, so I sprayed and smooshed on some Lindys starburst spray in a golden green colour.
That was a bit too much lol!

I tried it behind a few diecuts and thought this one with trees toned it down enough.
Here's a closer look at the sparkle.

The sentiment was embossed with a pearl jade powder.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday, glimmer and sparkle

ABC Christmas Challenge S is for stencil and T is for Two.
I've gone with S for stencil.

  17. What a lovely green sparkly plaid you created - it looks wonderful behind your pretty die cut trees - at first I thought the trees themselves were die cut and layered on the card! Sometimes it takes a bit of time to figure out how to use something on our designs - been there! xx Julia
