Hi, this is another one of the butterflies I coloured today.
The embossed background is a new toy, fall leaf background by Darice.
The leaves are left over from another project and are cut from glossy cardstock coloured with alcohol inks.
Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge has an autumn colour theme.
I'm linking up again to the anything goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.
At Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge the theme is to stamp a finishing touch.
The addition of a stamped, fussy cut butterfly was the finishing touch on this card.
Supplies:
Darice embossing folder; Hero Arts antique engravings butterfly stamp; inktense pencils; Spellbinders oval and floral oval dies; distress inks; Memory Box marvellous maple leaf die; glossy card and alcohol inks; sentiment sticker.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

Very nice Cathy. Love your new "toy". Using embossing folders add so much to cards. You colored your little butterfly perfectly. I like how you added the maple leaves, I would not have thought to do that, but it is perfect!

ReplyDeleteYou did such an incredible job with that butterfly! Wow! It is so life-like and I really must give you huge kudos on your superb coloring skills. I love how it looks against that color of cardstock, too. The embossing gives just the perfect subtle feeling of Fall and the leaves look perfect, too. This is a really lovely card and I enjoyed seeing it so much. Thank you for sharing your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
