Butterfly Filmstrip

Hi, I've spent the day colouring butterflies with Inktense pencils, and even better, I've managed to finish a few cards with them.

I was inspired by the sketch challenge at Just Add Ink.
JAI 233
I thought I'd use a filmstrip die instead of a banner shape and tried to make the middle butterfly look like it was closing it's wings.

I'm also linking to these challenges:
Addicted to Stamps & More where the theme is CAS.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday  where the theme is anything goes.

I used snippets of black and white to cut the filmstrip and popped the white pieces back in for the butterflies to sit on. Snippets means I can visit the playground again at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Supplies:
PTI woodgrain impression plate; very old butterfly stamp; Memory Box bijou film strip die; inktense pencils; sentiment sticker & bling.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

  15. Oh this is gorgeous Cathy - love the butterflies and how the middle one really does look as if it's closing its wings!

I have this die (as yet unused) and wonder if you trimmed one panel off? I'd never have thought of doing that! :)
