Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Colleen has chosen a colour theme for this round.
Or play along with our anything goes birthday option and add to your stash of birthday cards for the year!
Our party guest Loll and my team mates have some great inspiration for you, so I hope you can play along.
I used a few things that I had in my bits box for this card, the 3D embossed brick card, and the dragonflies that were painted with twinkling H2Os and fussycut.
I rubbed a frayed burlap distress ink pad across the bricks for a bit of definition.
The sentiment was diecut from black card and clear embossed for some shine.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Double D, sparkle and or shine
Allsorts, January Blues
Supplies:
Indigo Blue dragonfly stamp; versafine ink & clear ep; Stamplorations birthday die; twinkling H2O's; Sizzix brick embossing folder; happy sentiment sticker.

Your brick wall background is awesome. Adding a darker shade of brown randomly over top really make it look real. Great way to highlight the texture too. The dragonflies are gorgeous ... both in colour and with their fabulous texture. Great work, Cathy! It's been fun joining your team! xx
ReplyDeleteThe dragon flies look awesome against the "brick" wall :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card Cathy, and love the brown ink added over the brick EF which gives it lots of depth, and then the brilliant blue dragonflies using H2Os really stand out over the top, and such wonderful gloss over your die cut sentiment. x
ReplyDeleteI LOVE kraft with turquoise, and your card is fab. But that shiny sentiment caught my eye. I need to do that.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Cathy, the brick effect makes a great background for your stunning dragonflies.
