Embossing Wet or Dry for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, it's time to start our challenges again for the new year at Seize the Birthday.
I have chosen one of my favourite techniques, embossing, and you can try wet, dry or both!

Or, play along with our anything goes option, as long as it's for a birthday.

My team mates and our party guests have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

I've made a few cards with this impresslit die and wax pastes but wanted something a bit more masculine looking for hubby's birthday. Yep, a masculine butterfly card, starting to look like a moth maybe?!

I diecut the butterfly from black card and rubbed on some art alchemy wax pastes.
I love how detailed the embossing is. I've also embossed the background and used wet embossing on the diecut birthday sentiment, using versamark ink and Lindy's midnight bronze powder.

I'm linking up to these challenges:
Double D, celebrating their 8th year of challenges, with an optional bronze theme, Congrats!

Supplies:
Dies: Sizzix 3D butterfly impresslit; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle; Memory Box birthday cursive script circle (I cut the circle off);
Other: Darice Crackle embossing folder; Art Alchemy antique brilliance waxes; versamark ink and Lindy's midnight bronze embossing powder; sentiment sticker.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
