Silver & Gold CAS Christmas

Hi everyone, I hope you had a happy and safe festive season.

We had a very quiet time, which was good. I'm almost fully recovered from my surgery and all appears well so bring it on in 2022 lol!

It's time for the first CAS Christmas Challenge of 2022 and Julia has chosen the theme of silver and gold.

Lisa is our guest this month and she and the team have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

I diecut 2 of the stars and layered them up, then coloured the pieces with delicata gold and silver inks using a finger dauber. The sentiment was inked with a gold ink and embossed with gold powder.
The silver glitter frame is really sparkly in real life. Here's a closer look.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Since this is a new die for me, Darnell's NBUS Challenge

Dies R Us, anything goes, I've used a Memory Box die.

Supplies:
Dies:Memory Box Holiday Heart star; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle
Other: Tsukineko metallic inks; Joyful Holly sentiment by Stampin Up; Wow metallic gold rich superfine ep; Couture Creations silver glitter card; linen card base.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

  5. Yay, glad to hear you're nearly recovered and ready to take on 2022! I bet your card is so sparkly in real life, I love the star inlaid in contrasting gold, not an easy challenge using both gold and silver... very glitzy. Nice inspiration using the two colours and still keeping it clean.

    Happy New Year Cathy x

  16. I'm happy to hear that you almost fully recover from your surgery, Cathy!
Your star die-cut with the hearts is so beautiful, and you colored the die-cuts so well that I thought you used silver and gold paper. The sparkle and shine of the matte and the sentiment is so pretty too.
