Blue & Grey for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, I hope you had a wonderful festive season and New Year celebration, we had a quiet time at home which was good. Toasted some marshmallows on our new fire pit for New Years, when it wasn't raining lol!
I'm almost recovered from my surgery too, all is good so far, and I'm looking forward to a busy 2022!

It's time to start the year with our Seize the Birthday challenges, and Colleen has chosen blue and grey as our theme.

Our party guest for this month is Vicky Hayes and she and my team mates have some wonderful cards to inspire you.
Remember, you can always play along with our anything goes birthday option too if blue and grey aren't your thing!

Hope to see you in the gallery.

I found a scrap in my offcut box that was blue and grey. It looks like I'd smooshed watercolour paper into some blue and grey brushos. I diecut the sketchy rings and tried to colour in some fussycut  butterflies to match with Inktense pencils and a waterbrush.
I feel a bit rusty on the old butterfly front lol!

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge, I've gone without the colour option

Memory Box Sketchy Rings die; Watercolour paper and brushos; Hero Arts Antique Engravings butterfly stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; Inktense pencils in Paynes Grey, navy and sea blue; Happy Little Stampers Doodled Flowers sentiment stamp.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

  14. Looks so cool! I love those sketchy rings, they remind me of ripples on water, since the color is blue too, and the butterflies look like they're resting on top. Fabulous card!
