Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Watercooler Wednesday and Marsha is hosting all things feminine.
The team have some wonderful ideas to inspire you, so I hope to see you in the gallery.
I bought some designer paper pads that have an alcohol ink look to them, Craft Consortium Ink Drops, and this one is from the Dusk set.
Not sure I like all of the colours in the pack but I did love this blue and purple one.
I used some opaque matte texture paste and the Tim Holtz scribbles stencil to create this pattern, pretty happy with how it turned out.
The butterfly is diecut from part of the same sheet.
I'm linking up to some challenges:
Always Fun Challenge, combine some old and new products.
I have had my stencil and butterfly die for ages, but the designer paper is new.
Supplies:
Craft Consortium paper Ink Drops - dusk; Tim Holtz scribble stencil; Ranger opaque matte texture paste; Memory Box moonlight butterfly die; sentiment sticker.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
The opaque paste over the paper and through the stencil looks fabulous. What a creative and beautiful card Cathy x.

This is so pretty Cathy! Love the opague paste overtop of the stencil. Gorgeous colours from your patterned paper! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is just so pretty! I absolutely love the colours and the texture must be amazing in real life!
ReplyDeleteI thought this was your own created background - but looks fabulous - I have so many papers too - must drag them out. And of course a perfectly created butterfly - Mxxx
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous stenciling, Cathy, and the opaque paste looks beautiful over the coloured paper. Such a really pretty card.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us at ATSM

Pretty coloured dp Cathy and I love the floral stencilling using the opaque paste which gives wonderful texture and I love the added butterfly in that lovely soft blue colour with the added gems and a great Mother's Day card. x
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Cathy. I love the effect of the stencilling over the DP! A super idea especially if the papers are not your favourites!! I always love the extra texture!! Take care! :0
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Mother's Day card, Cathy! I love how the rose panel is an optical illusion ... before reading your post, one wonders, are the pretty colors the paste bit or is the paste the white bit? The butterfly cut from the same pad is the perfect punctuation! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
