Hi, I was inspired by a few challenges to make this card. The card colour is sort of a teal like peacock feathers but the photo has come out more blue.
The challenge at Just Add Ink is to use chipboard.
This cat is a Scrapmatts product I bought at a craft show last year. It was in a pack of 6. (I've used one before on a similar tag, the cat was black, the tag was purple and the flowers were coral.)
I used pumicestone and black soot distress ink to colour this one and used a wink of stella pen over the top for some shimmer.
I used peacock feathers and black soot to highlight the embossing on the tag.
At Less is More the theme is animal.
At Addicted to Stamps & More the theme is Clean & Simple.
At Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge it's an anything goes theme.
Materials used:
Scrapmatts chipboard cat; distress inks; wink of stella pen; Kaszazz vine edge embossing folder;
Technique Tuesday sentiment stamp; silver ink and embossing powder; EK success & Punch Bunch flower punches; teal cardstock; home made tag.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

The glimmery chipboard cat is gorgeous, Cathy! LOVE the bold teal, and the use of neutrals with it; this is a beautiful card. Thanks for joining in the fun at Just Add Ink this week!
ReplyDeleteThis tag is wonderful! I really love everything about it, especially that gorgeous teal color! I thought it was so clever of you to add design and embellishment around just the edge and bottom of the tag instead of around the whole thing. It creates a really beautiful effect. I also like how you made the flowers dimensional and made the cute sentiment in white. It all blends together so perfectly and I really enjoyed seeing your post. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
ReplyDeleteYour tag is so cute. I love the color and the kitty. What is so great is the embossing down the side of the tag. That really sets it off. Cute little bling on his collar.
