Blue bouquet on green

Hi, we had some much needed rain here over the last 24 hours, hopefully our water tanks have had a nice top up!

I needed a card for a friend's birthday and was inspired by the colour challenge at Just us girls.

The flower heads were diecut from snippets of watercolor paper, so I'm visiting the snippets playground
 I tried an old set of watercolor paints my sister gave me years ago but I wasn't very happy with the result!
So, I spritzed over the top with blue patina perfect pearls mixed with water to blend the colours a bit better.

I'm also linking up to the challenge at Seize the Birthday where it's anything goes,

and to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Summer.

Materials used:
Memory Box bella bouquet die; distress inks; watercolor paint; blue patina perfect pearls;
Scrollwork frame embossing folder; sentiment sticker.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
thanks for visiting, Cathy x

  15. Ah great work Cathy.... also love vellum one below... loved or rain too here. We've had 1/3 our normal rain fall this year. Sad for farmers and tank users too. No doubt you'd like some more too. We had 50mm and grateful. Shaz in Oz.x

  18. Oooh this is lovely Cathy! Great use of snippets and such pretty colours too. I adore that die - sitting on my hands here lest they stray to an online craft supplies shop! Which means I'm typing this with my nose I guess :))

    Posted your Playground prize by Airmail yesterday - let's hope it doesn't take too long to arrive!

    Hugs, Di xx
