Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday, and our wonderful leader Nancy has chosen pink as the theme for this fortnight.
Or play along with our anything goes birthday option.
Our party guest and my team mates have some gorgeous ideas to inspire you so I hope you can play along.
I wanted to make a pink version of this card.
The shoes are diecut from some ancient dp in my stash, and I threaded some cotton twine throught the eyelets with a needle for the laces.
I inked up some card with worn lipstick oxide ink to add some colour under the border panel
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Supplies:
Dies: sneaker die unknown brand; Spellbinders hemstitch squares.
Other: Designer paper from stash; Paper Smooches sentiment sampler stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; worn lipstick oxide; white cotton string.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week,
Cathy x

This is a fun card and those shoes could be for anyone. I love how you colored them pink and threaded the laces. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Cathy, and just how much do I want a pair of these beauties! Jo x
ReplyDeleteVery creative. Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.
ReplyDeleteI would so wear those shoes. Love the direction you took with these colors. An unexpected delight, Cathy!!
ReplyDeleteI love how creative you were in making this card. Perfect for a teenager on the go. Those cards are as hard to make for me as a masculine card. Good job!
ReplyDeleteCathy, this is a fantastic card for a teen or pre-teen. Love the tennis shoes. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe pink paper is perfect for these sneakers and I love the way you have threaded the twine through the eyelets which works brilliantly Cathy. x
ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with the shoes! Threading with the cotton twine makes it prettier. Love those little stars as well. Great card, Cathy!
